That’s an increase of 42 per cent. Meanwhile, Canada’s population grew by just 14 per cent during that period. In this piece Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada / Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada Minister Marc Miller states that Trudeau should stay on as Liberal leader. As Minister in charge of appeasing newcomers and immigrant communities, there seems to be a blind disconnect here. Several political pundits are observing that key communities if the Ontario, Quebec and BC are very disenchanted with the Liberal Party of Canada despite overt efforts to curry favour with key voting blocks.
