Do you think woman & girls should be free from the threat, fear or acts of violence? Of course you do, but they aren’t, even in Jersey. Take a minute to consider the following stats, pulled from the recent report on Violence Against Women and Girls in Jersey. 👉 More than three quarters of general public survey respondents had experienced sexual harassment in the last 12-months. 👉 One in four general public survey respondents have experienced rape and/or attempted rape in their lifetime. 👉 Almost two thirds of general public survey respondents did not agree that the Courts in Jersey take physical forms of VAWG seriously. But you can help mend our community by understanding the scope of the problem and resolving to take action. Kate Wright and her taskforce have lifted the lid on this shocking ‘hidden problem’ and have outlined ways in which we can help. Take a look at her post below or simply share it and keep this conversation alive. Read the report and view more resources here 👉https://lnkd.in/e5CxUJBh
