"We absolve ourselves from taking the actions we can within our circles of influence. This applies to both BIPOC and White individuals. For BIPOC, this is not about victim-blaming but embracing our power to be agents of our own liberation. No one can give us freedom. We have to lead the way." At All Aces, we believe resilience in workplaces and communities begins with every individual stepping up as a change agent. It’s about making intentional choices within our spheres of influence to build a more equitable world. 📖 To learn more read: We Are the Question + the Answer: Break the Collective Habit of Racism + Build Resilience for Racial Equity in Ourselves and Our Organizations. 📣 Call to all leaders: Be part of the journey or risk being left behind https://lnkd.in/d-FcUT3f The Market Research Society (MRS) EDI Changemakers, Christina Lai 賴浩賢 赖浩贤, Tom Richer, Katya Des-Etages and Shivonne M. Gates PhD., took to the stage at the MRS Annual Conference in March to share their stories of the actions they have pioneered to drive #inclusivity and positive change. The session was hailed by those who attended as ‘the most inspirational session at the conference, however, the conversation quickly turned to how few senior leaders were in attendance. ‘The EDI Changemakers did an incredible session, the most inspirational thing I’ve heard today, and it was the worst attended. It can’t just be that the allies turn up. Everybody’s got to become an ally. It’s a damning indictment of how few senior leaders were listening to that session… we’ve got to change that dynamic.’ – Georgina White @ Holland & Barrett 👉 Watch the full session and read the follow-up opinion piece from session chair, Dr Mark Thorpe @ Truth Consulting https://lnkd.in/d-FcUT3f Josephine Hansom, Nikki Bower, Danielle Todd, Babita Earle (FMRS), Jane Frost CBE, Sinead Hasson, Rebecca Cole, Christine Hemphill, Megan Cross, Sam Curtis, Shazia Ginai, Shazia Ali, Louisa Wedderburn #edi #equality #diversity #inclusion #leaders #changemakers, #inclusionmatters, #ediupdates, #EDICouncil, #marketresearch

#ICYMI This week’s HAND Member Notice highlighted the halfway point of the LEAD Racial Equity Institute. Read reflections from HAND and our fellow cohort member, Piedmont Housing Alliance about their journey through the program so far. The Institute equips #housing leaders with the tools and training needed to actively drive #racialequity, transforming their organizational culture, policies, and practices to make a lasting impact, both internally and externally. LEAD requires the decision-makers who can directly impact change to be at the table, where they are designing and learning how to implement a Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) plan unique to their organization and its goals.
