🌟A Monumental Milestone Achieved! 🌟 Over the weekend, we hit a phenomenal milestone—R1.2 MILLION in Founding Memberships! 💥 This is more than just a number; it’s a testament to the incredible support, belief, and vision shared by our community. To our current founding members—YOU are the mothers and fathers, the true custodians of this network’s future. You will be the ones who will witness the birth of The Lekker Network! Your contributions are shaping the very foundation of what The Lekker Network will become. You’ll have a unique opportunity to add value, contribute to the strategy, and truly be part of building this from the ground up. The capital from the Founding Membership drive is the fuel that will power this entire journey! Every rand is going directly towards building The Lekker network—from the website, the value proposition, the creative strategy, and even our exciting launch and events for the first year. This founding membership is, in essence, our runway for the first year of operations. It’s the creation capital that will bring our vision to life. This is why we’re doing this—to create a platform and a network for the community, built by the community. And the overwhelming support we’ve seen so far is proof that we’re building something truly special. We’re aiming for 100 members by the end of October. If we can hit 100, it will be a massive win for everyone involved. Let’s keep pushing and make this a reality! The future is bright, and together, we’re building something that will connect and uplift South Africans across the globe! 🌍 Let’s go! 🚀 ---- P.S. If you can't come on board as a founding member, any bit of support helps. A simple share, comment, or like can make a huge difference. We're trying to reach as many South Africans as possible, and the more people we reach, the better our chances of achieving these goals. Thank you so much, everyone! 💛 #TheLekkerNetwork #FoundingMembers #MilestoneMoment #CommunityFirst #SouthAfricansAbroad #GlobalConnections #BuildingTogether

Shaping Financial Success & Community Futures | Chartered IFA & Founder of Celtic Financial | Charity Trustee & Business Mentor
🌟 Reflecting on the Journey with Celtic Community Network 🌟 Several years ago, my colleague Emily and I founded the Celtic Community Network with a clear vision: to provide a low-cost, not-for-profit platform that unites local businesses. Our goal was to foster support, enhance business opportunities, and share best practices within our community. I am immensely proud that, even through the challenges of a global pandemic, we have not only sustained but also strengthened our commitment to supporting local enterprises. The success stories are countless—from helping existing businesses thrive to playing a pivotal role in launching new ones. 🍳 Inclusivity and Openness: A couple of months ago, we decided to open our doors even wider. If you've never joined us before, I personally invite you to come and experience what we're all about with a complimentary first visit—enjoy a free breakfast and see the impact of our collective efforts first-hand, with no strings attached. This initiative has already proven to be a huge success. 💡 Personal Commitment: What many may not know is that I have been personally funding these complimentary tickets. Yes, it has cost me hundreds, but the return, in community strength and business success, has been immeasurably greater. Supporting the local business ecosystem is essential—not only because my ventures rely on this community, but because giving back is fundamentally the right thing to do. I know the profound impact good networking can have. Let’s continue to grow together. If you’re interested in our network or the vibrant community we're building, don’t hesitate to reach out or join us at our next event. #CelticCommunityNetwork #LocalBusiness #Networking #CommunitySupport

If you've appreciated Crappy Funding Practices, here's an opportunity to get involved. As Vu Le summarized: "Behind these posts on LinkedIn are teams of volunteers spending hours communicating with folks who nominate funders, vetting submissions, crafting the call-outs, engaging with social media, developing list of resources, planning meetings and organizing, etc. It’s a lot of work and right now all volunteer-run. We need more people involved. So, if you’re interested in helping out, please join a special meeting we’re hosting on May 14th at 10am PT / 1 pm ET, where we’ll update you on what’s been going on, and present the different options for you to plug into."
