We are thrilled to announce the Bayshore Sewerage Authority received the AEA Forward-Thinking Wave award for the GIS System we’re honored to have implemented. The Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority services 7 municipalities, providing sanitary sewer collections and treatment. Our team implemented VUEWorks® Asset Management solution to manage daily operations of the infrastructure serving these communities. The Wave program recognizes excellence in the public water, wastewater, solid waste, and recycling sector in New Jersey. Congratulations to the honorees, keep up the great work! 🏆 #ForwardThinking

Dirk Vennix, Adrien Baudrimont and Malcolm Yull are discussing how we can manage the importance of trees and demonstrate their value at Trees, People and the Built Environment #TPBE5 During this session, they will present exemplary cases from both urban and rural settings, showcasing good practices in both new and established developments. Drawing from our research on the management of blue-green infrastructure assets, the discussion will encompass a comprehensive approach to understanding and planning tasks associated with tree infrastructure. This includes everything from tree protection and planting to supervision, maintenance, and coordination with utility systems. #UrbanDevelopment #GreenInfrastructure #TreeProtection

Tunneling is the unsung hero of modern infrastructure, and it's shaping our world in ways we often overlook. Take a moment to explore this interesting article about an ongoing tunneling project by Irish Water that highlights the incredible impact of tunneling technology. Tunneling experts are working tirelessly beneath the earth to ensure reliable water supply, transportation, and more. Without tunneling, we wouldn't have: 1️⃣ Clean Water: Tunnels help transport water from source to tap, ensuring safe and clean drinking water for all. 2️⃣ Efficient Transportation: Subways, roads, and rail tunnels keep our cities moving, reducing congestion and pollution. 3️⃣ Renewable Energy: Tunnels enable the construction of hydroelectric power plants and wind farm connections. 4️⃣ Improved Infrastructure: They're vital for sewage systems, underground cabling, and more, keeping our cities running smoothly. So, the next time you're stuck in traffic, enjoying clean water, or marveling at a subway system, remember that tunneling is the unsung hero making it all possible. Check out this article for a glimpse into the exciting world of tunneling: Link to the article: https://loom.ly/2y62hzk Let's appreciate the incredible work of tunneling engineers and the impact they have on our lives every day! 🙌 #Tunneling #ECOTunneling #TunnelFireProtection #TunnelInfrastructure

[RESOURCE MANAGEMENT] Rhode Island: preserving the water 💧 of Narragansett Bay, a real environmental challenge to which Bouygues Travaux Publics teams are responding. Rhode Island, on the east coast of the United States, is one-third water. To help improve water management in the bay, which has long been plagued by pollution problems, Bouygues Travaux Publics, as part of the CB3A consortium, is building a 3.5-kilometre-long storage tunnel as part of the stormwater, wastewater and industrial water collection system. This water will then be taken care of in a treatment plant, before being discharged into the Seekonk river. ➡ This structure is part of the 3rd phase of the programme launched 20 years ago by the Narragansett Bay Commission, which aims to modernise the management of this precious resource. Stormwater in our rivers – it's a topic that's been in the news a lot this year, and for good reason. This is a major environmental concern and not something any of us wants to see. At PBJ Engineering Services, our work with water companies gives us a front-row seat to the industry's efforts in tackling these environmental challenges. We're all about supporting improvements in our wastewater infrastructure. And there's been some positive news on this front. In the last week, Southern Water has announced the installation of a new £1 million storm tank at Edenbridge Wastewater Treatment Works in Kent. This vast structure allows more stormwater to be held at the site instead of releasing it into the environment. This development benefits nearby rivers such as the Eden and the Medway. And with Southern Water committing £1.5 billion to clean our waterways, hopefully, it's the sort of thing we'll see much more of in the coming months. #WastewaterTreatment #WaterPollution
