🎓 Credentials vs. 🛠️ Experience - Which one do you choose? In today's fast-paced world, the debate between formal credentials and real-world experience is more relevant than ever. Both paths have their merits ⚖️: A 4.0 GPA, Ivy League & top-10 MBA grad, prestigious internships, and certifications like Six Sigma Black Belt represent dedication, theoretical knowledge, and the capability and intelligence to excel. On the other side, hands-on experience provides invaluable insights, the ability to adapt, resilience, practical problem-solving skills, and the capacity to achieve under pressure. I know business owners and companies on both sides of the aisle. The question is, which one weighs more for you when hiring or seeking a role? 🤔 Let's hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! #CareerDevelopment #CredentialsVsExperience #Hiring #Leadership #CareerGrowth

Fortune 1 | Campus Recruitment | Recruitment Strategy | University Relationships | Program Management | Connecting with Top Talent
We are so excited to welcome our MBA Finance Leadership Development Program Interns!! It’s Intern season and as many interns are embarking on a wonderful experience this summer, I wanted to share a few tips to help maximize your summer internship. Fellow campus talent recruiters, feel free to add more tips in the comments! 1. Make an effort to attend any events organized by your program. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet your fellow interns and other employees. 2. Network! Network! Network! Don't limit your networking to just your manager and team. Try to connect with leaders from other departments as well. This will not only help you build valuable connections and networking skills but also give you insights into the company you're working for. 3. Embrace feedback when it comes your way. Feedback is a positive thing that can help you grow as an employee and enhance your existing skills. 4. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Remember, we only learn when we ask. 5. If your company has employee resource networks or affinity groups, consider joining one or more! It's a great way to meet people who share similar identities and learn from those in different areas of the business. 6. And of course, make the most of this summer and soak up as much knowledge as you can. Enjoy! Congratulations to all the interns who have started or are about to start this summer! #mbainterns #financeinterns #kelloggintern #mccombsintern #dardenintern #dukeintern #mccombsintern

Tier-3 college students cracked offers from Tier-1 companies !! My exclusive SUPER-15 students shines yet again !! We have cracked 2 more major offers this summer season: -> Aayushi Gupta - Strategy and Growth Intern at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP -> Tanya Priyadarshni - WSO Middle Office at S&P Global ✅ My Tier-1 and 2 college students cracked some offers already (check my last post) but tier-3 ones were scared: -> Tier-3 college hai, koi badi company kyu hi hire karegi? -> Upar se Sales or Marketing roles hi milte hai unhe bass 😞 -> LinkedIn par success stories dekhkr, self doubts badh rhe hai bss I still remember my first SUPER-15 call with Aayushi when she told me that she is now scared of even opening LinkedIn because everyone is achieving something and how tier-3 college students are almost in trouble !! Well, while the world was saying that college matters to get a good offer, I was firm on my opinion that more than the college - ⭐ SKILLSET and DIRECTION matters We worked hard and that too in such a directional way that recruiters never judged them on their college and gave them offers, for the level of skills and personality that they hold!! 👉 Not just that these companies are one of the best companies in the world but at the same time, the roles they have got are highly exclusive and holds importance. I am feeling like a proud mentor, guide, friend, and brother once again !! ❤️ All those who feel like they have got a setback in career because of any reason, trust me, nothing is impossible. Compensate your weakness with something stronger - companies need talent, not your college !! 👉 PS : If you are someone, who is ready to give their 200% and want to build the strongest profile and skillset for the core Finance space - Check the link in the comments or DM me. #finance #jobs #internships #college #placement LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

CA Finalist || Ramjas College, DU'24 || BDO- Audit & Assurance || Former Intern- Startup India, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India
"𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠; 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨..." So, this post is dedicated to all those who are wondering what all they can do in their college life. 𝐃𝐎'𝐬: 1) 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒔 The first and foremost thing you should do is to give priority to your academics. Try to maintain a good CGPA throughout your college and trust me it helps. I am not telling you to be a part of top 1%, if you can it’s great, but even if you can’t, having a decent one always helps. 2) 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔 If you are in DU, you will see every next person is doing some sort of internship. You know why? They want to get some practical experience and to put something on their Resume. 3) 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 Be it Quizzes, Sprints, Debates or whatever else, I would suggest do participate regardless of results. You will be able to create lifelong memories and will get different experiences, and just think what if you win? You will get cash prizes and winning hampers Now, how will you get to know about such competitions, simply go to Unstop 4) 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 What’s the one thing I regret of not doing from my 1st year, is participating in Case Competitions. I realized in my final year how important they are for one, who want to diversify his knowledge to various domains (mainly consulting and policy making) and want to improve his communication skills. In DU circuit they are getting organized regularly by different colleges. Do participate! 5) 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 Many Big MNCs like EY, Deloitte, HSBC, etc. conduct various competitions and most of the time, their winners get the chance to intern at those companies. Check them out! 6) 𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒔 Companies like DE Shaw & Co, and McKinsey provides fellowship programs to female’s undergraduates and definitely they hold a good value and gives a great learning experience. 7) 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒔 If you are like me, who wants to dive into the professional world and want to hold some professional degree, you can start them simultaneously with your college. There are lot many options, CA/CS/CMA or CFA or ACCA and so on… 8) 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 Do join at least 1 society of your college. Now which one to join, is totally upon you and your interest. Team work, multitasking capabilities and communication skills are some of the things which you will get from there. 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓: Doubting Yourself.... You will face FOMO, and it's okay to feel low sometimes, but doubting yourself is not a good option. There will be time when your friends or batchmates will be doing better than you, but trust me your time will come too. Well that's all from my end. P.S.: Fellow batchmates, please add on more points if in case I missed out something. #delhiuniversity #collegelife #experiences #ramjascollege

🔴 Internships do not matter prior to an MBA, and are not regarded as work experience!! 🔴 Yes, you heard it right. Many IIMs do not consider Internships or pre-graduation experience during the selection procedure. 😮 But does it mean these don’t add value? I would like to differ. I still recall the fateful night of August 2nd of the year 2018. Although an engineering student, I was determined to grab the role of junior analyst CRG at JPMorgan Chase & Co., only to get rejected at 3 a.m. from my last round of interviews. After studying and preparing for finance as a passion along with my core electrical engineering, I was lost amidst the pool of companies arriving, with no sign of any other non-core firm in sight, for internship opportunities. 😱😱 I felt I had lost all hope unless my dream company landed for its recruitment, and even before I knew it, I was in the race. But this time the game was different, because this time, I was different. What changed? It was the same pressure to grab an opportunity to work for the top firm in the world amongst the pool of existing applicants—the #rushhourscenario as I like to call it. As I look back, my learnings started from the shok 47 of Bhagvad Geeta: “कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन्” 1. Being a student, my right and duty were to give my best for the interview, without thinking of the fruits and not associating any entitlement to the same. Perseverance, and patience are other aspects of this coin. 2. Loosing out on the performance pressure, anxiety, and worries, being the risk lover with nothing to lose, and having an optimistic mindset helped me grab internship opportunity at McKinsey & Company Wait, the story doesn't end here! Learning about the consulting industry, understanding the business at its core, and working on a design scorecard to evaluate the team’s solution with an understanding of client patterns and employee productivity, I learned the concepts some of which we explore in our current MBA journey. Additionally, learning to work in complex teams, international clients, as well as interacting with different stakeholders, served the most critical aspects of my time. A big shout out to my team for being a constant support in this journey and beyond. Looking back now, I belive my career journey with McKinsey & Company served as my gateway to a post-graduate work opportunity with Amazon. The bottom line is: Don't hide your internships, but highlight them and even take the most out of them, since this is the time for you to learn and apply your knowledge practically, build a professional network, and gain industry skills like no other. #keepLearning #growth #IIMKPGPBL05 #mckinsey #internships

Recently I was thinking about why employers should hire students and what are the benefits they bring to the workplace. So, here are some crucial arguments that demonstrate why hiring students (like myself :D) can be a game changer for your company. 📌 Fresh Ideas, New Perspectives: Students bring a fresh outlook and a willingness to challenge the status quo, driving innovation and creativity within the team. 📌Tech-Savviness: Having grown up in the digital age, we are often adept at using technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency. 📌Fresh Energy and Enthusiasm: One thing you can count on with students is our boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm. We bring a vibrant spirit to the workplace, creating a positive and dynamic environment that fuels productivity and collaboration. 📌Diverse Skill Sets: Students bring a diverse range of skills acquired through coursework and internships making us versatile additions to any team. So, embrace the opportunity to welcome a student into your company—it's a win-win situation that shouldn't be missed! Let's revolutionize your company together!🚀
