Not only this week, but every week! I acknowledge every company's safety culture and related activities, but I want to take a moment to appreciate and highlight Lead Foreman Carlos Areas (Civil Texas). As we emphasize Safety Week at Keeley to discuss, celebrate, share stories and lessons learned. I wanted to take a minute to say: This is what it’s about!!! We all have our reasons! Without any request to participate, I noticed his baseball cap. His children had decorated his hat several weeks ago as a reminder for him to return home and to remind him that he is loved every day. This could be his personal motivation and "reason why." I have observed similar practices at other companies where we take a moment to find a piece of art, a letter, or a picture to place in our hard hats as a reminder of our "Why." Let's encourage all members of our work groups to discover their own "Why" and understand the importance of it. Emphasizing the significance of working safely not only ensures our well-being on the job but also enables us to work together effectively and return home to our loved ones every day. Let's make safety a priority, not just for ourselves, but for those we care about.

Perfection in safety is an impossible goal. The best aim is to be safer than yesterday and take steps to learn and improve every day. It's about measured progress and an approach that works for your team at the pace that makes sense for your operations. Sometimes moving too quickly to implement safety programs can be detrimental to the overall effort. Are your decisions inclusive and risk based? We don't always move fast, but we always move forward and do our best to be safer, day by day. #safertogether #safetyculture #processsafety #riskmanagement

We're celebrating International Day for Health and Safety at Work! Safety is our top priority, that's why we're working hard to create a safe and healthy work environment for everyone (we call it "Safer Together"). Here's what we're doing: 🦺 Launched a new learning system to give everyone targeted safety training 🦺 Invested in improvements like traffic management and machine guarding to keep our colleagues safe 🦺 Our leaders are out and about on site tours, talking to everyone about safety and leading by example 🦺 We have a well-being hub with resources and support to help our team stay happy and healthy 🦺 Partnered with a charity to provide emotional, physical, and financial well-being support for our colleagues Our hard work is paying off! We've seen a big reduction in accidents and injuries. Here's what's next: 🦺 We're fostering a more independent safety culture, where everyone takes responsibility 🦺 Launching leadership and assurance programs to make sure our safety standards are the best 🦺 Reducing critical risks to keep everyone even safer 🦺 Promoting safe environmental practices and training everyone on what's needed We're proud of the progress we've made in creating a safer, healthier workplace for everyone. "Good morning guys! This individual was nominated by a manager from another division. He was asked to come help out on a job with some operating. The manager thought it would take a couple days but this individual was able to knock it out in one day. The manager called both me and Rigo (our other renovation Project Manager) and couldn't say enough good things about him. He was impressed by his professionalism and his ability to get the job done efficiently and quickly. For Doing The Right Thing, Eudelio!" - Manager Erik F. "It's been a long time since we've had a sunny day for a safety meeting! I was absolutely honored to nominate this individual for employee of the month this month. Since I've been at GRO I can't remember a time where he's called off work. Every single day he shows up early and ready to go for the day. He's always helping his foreman by loading up the truck with material, getting that truck started, and giving it a once over. On site, he's always looking for better ways to produce for GRO, doing whatever his foreman asks. For going above and beyond, Arnie!" -Manager Michael C. We have monthly safety meetings here at GRO.
