Health equity/minority health offices play a vital role in creating policies that address disparities and improve services, outreach, and engagement within marginalized communities. A new report, created in partnership with the National Association of State Offices of Minority Health and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, addresses priorities and needs of island jurisdictions when establishing a health equity or minority health office, including scope, lessons learned on partnerships, and how to establish, structure, and fund a new office.
