The road to a reliable energy grid in Texas has been a long one, fraught with obstacles and learning opportunities. But why does this journey matter? 1/3: The Lone Star state faced unprecedented power outages during the winter storm of February 2021. This was a wake-up call for Texas. It revealed the fragility of an independent grid that must be resilient against extreme weather. Since then, Texas has been grappling with the complexities of overhauling its energy systems. 2/3: Progress has been made - from enhancing grid reliability to investing in renewable sources like wind and solar. But the task is not yet complete. Texas continues to pursue a delicate balance between fostering innovation in energy production and maintaining an unwavering supply for its citizens. 3/3: The road ahead is clear - fortify infrastructure, embrace technology, and ensure that every Texan has access to reliable energy. It's a commitment to not just recover from past challenges, but to set a new standard for energy security. Let's keep the conversation going. What steps do you think are essential for Texas to secure a robust and reliable energy future? #EnergySecurity #Innovation #RenewableEnergy

Colorado has been absorbing powerful waves of solar and other renewable energy projects that independent experts say are keeping Colorado ahead of a fast-growing pack of successful green-development states. “There’s this race to the top and Colorado is leading,” said Jacob Corvidae, an analyst and adviser in equitable climate action for the clean energy nonprofit RMI. “And Colorado is in competition to see if it can keep securing that leader space in relation to all of its neighbors.” “The cost of solar panels and batteries, compared to just 10 years earlier, is less than 10% of what it used to be,” Corvidae echoed. “It’s just insane how much the costs have dropped, and this is the thing I think most people don’t realize.” Colorado still needs to build out the transmission backbone in many regions to deliver generated renewable energy to cities. Residents and businesses can join this movement by financing with CCEF and becoming more sustainable while saving on energy bills. #CCEF #ColoradoEnergy #GreenDevelopmentProjects https://lnkd.in/gv6Zxjqm
