It's not just a biography, but a profound reflection on their life's journey. Our volunteers ask thought-provoking questions, delving into the most important lessons, proudest moments, regrets, and the meaning of life. These conversations provide comfort and meaningful connection to our patients and their families. 💜 📚 We're proud to share the heartwarming story of Mr. Raymond Chambers, a remarkable 102-year-old Army Veteran who served during World War II. With the assistance of Mr. Lucas Randolph, a talented Creative Writing professor and fellow Veteran, we meticulously crafted Raymond's legacy into a captivating narrative. Presenting the completed story to Raymond was an incredibly emotional and touching moment, as he expressed the deep significance of preserving personal history. 💖 The impact of this program was evident as Raymond, his eyes glistening with tears, embraced the legacy of his life. His poignant reaction filled our hearts with joy, and we were honored to leave him with copies to share with his cherished friends and family at St. Andrews Village Assisted Living Facility. 🌳 The tree on the book's cover symbolizes the profound connection to the Tree of Life, and we are privileged to have Mary Ozanic, an integral part of our team, contribute the heartfelt Foreword. As we continue on this beautiful journey, we are excited to seek out the next incredible subject for our Legacy Story. 🙌 We were deeply honored to host two incredible individuals at our Denver office this past Wednesday! Nancy English, a seasoned healthcare & hospice professional, and Prof. at Anschutz Medical Center School of Medicine graced us with her presence. Alongside, we welcomed Angela Fournes, a mortician and death doula all the way from Berlin. During our Interdisciplinary Team meeting, both Nancy and Angela contributed to a poignant discussion on preparing for our own journeys as we dedicate our careers to caring for others. Mary Ozanic, our dedicated Denver volunteer coordinator, beautifully summed it up as "lively and informative." Angela arrived eager to delve into hospice home care in Colorado and green funeral practices.
