Is Leaving My Comfortable Government Job for Nursing Insane? Answers: https://lnkd.in/dMtkcS3M #CareerChange #Fulfillment #NursingJourney #WorkLifeBalance Hey everyone! 🌟 I wanted to get your thoughts on something that's been weighing on my mind. I'm currently a government marketing and communications manager, making nearly $100k a year. Sounds great, right? Well, here's the catch: I only work about 2-3 hours each day, and while I’m fully remote, I miss those face-to-face interactions that really energize me as an extrovert. I initially dove into this field out of a passion for journalism and helping people, but I feel like my current job is so far removed from that purpose. Here are a few pain points I’m wrestling with: Lack of Interaction: Working remotely is convenient but can feel isolating over time. I thrive on social interaction, and this role just isn’t providing that. Unfulfilling Work: It’s tough to feel motivated when no one seems to notice or care about what you do. I want my work to have a real impact! Desire for Change: I’m considering a complete shift to become a registered nurse. The idea of hands-on patient care excites me, and it feels lik...

👀 It’s not surprising to see that organizations are investing in their recruitment strategy efforts. I’m curious to know what initiatives we’re going to see from a RETENTION perspective in the coming years in healthcare. Any organization can paint an appealing picture of “why you should work here,” (“we’re just like family here “🤪)… however with turnover rates being as high as they are, in my opinion, a more important area to focus on is… “what reasons make you want to STAY working here?” What do YOU think is more important? #recruitmentvsretention

The #care sector requires a comprehensive public relations revamp initiated by central government to improve UK based recruitment drives. The perception of #homecare roles as low-skilled jobs persists primarily due to public relations failures. And in my opinion this perception has no foundations. I am actively supporting a significant recruitment effort within the industry for a care provider, and I believe that a national targeted PR campaign has the potential to diminish the reluctance among the younger generation to work in the care sector. Two decades ago, the industry faced an image crisis related to care work, but for individuals seeking flexible community-based roles that involve caring for others, it undeniably aligns with the desire for flexibility, accomplishment, and social consciousness that many younger people are pursuing. How can the #caresector and #careservices drive forward this much needed PR push?

👀 Where are all of my Healthcare, Community & Social Services Job Seekers at? REGION: GTA SECTOR: Hospital Networks Here are a few positions that I stumbled across while doing my regular job-posting internet sleuthing this week that I thought would be worth sharing, but more importantly not a waste of your time to check out. Please note that all positions have been vetted (by yours truly) as current & active on the company's corporate careers page, and are aligned with reputable/respected/world renowned organizations in the area. Remember that the application process can be tedious, and a relentless pursuit. It's not as easy as just firing off 47 of the same resume day-after-day. You really have to figure out what sets YOU apart, and how do you stand out amongst a sea of competition, and AI generated resumes & cover-letters? The job market today is harder to navigate than ever before, as far as I'm concerned - especially for young people & new-grads! Give me a thumbs up 👍 if you found this information helpful, and throw a comment down below if you're planning on apply to one... or ALL of the positions below 😜 https://lnkd.in/gd4nA_WX Clinical Clerical Assistant - Trillium Health Partners https://lnkd.in/gnsbpCuT - Administrative Assistant - Respiratory Therapy - Mount Sinai (Sinai Health) https://lnkd.in/g6fhYtJe - Administrative Coordinator - Staffing Office - Unity Health - Providence https://lnkd.in/g7GFFPtP - Clerical Support Associate - Cardiology Clinic - Humber River Health https://lnkd.in/gZUukPWd - Program Administrative Assistant - Capital Planning and Redevelopment - Trillium Health Partners https://lnkd.in/gR8-ARFW - Patient Administrative Associate - Emergency Department - Sunnybrook Health Sciences (Listen, this one is a little older, and has had a tonne of applicants - it's probably not worth it to apply at this point ((applicant pool is too saturated)) but maybe consider roles similar this one in the future). (Saved the best one for last, imo 😏 ) https://lnkd.in/gvsQePkn - Clerical Assistant II - Health Record Services Department - Princess Margaret, University Health Network #jobsearchstrategy #genz #youngprofessional #newgrad #professionaldevelopment #leadership #careersupport #jobsearch #mentor #realtalk #mentorship #relatable #internationalstudent
