So many outdoor activities this weekend! Be safe and know the signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness with fainting, elevated heart and respiratory rates, inability to walk or stand, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, heat cramps, cool clammy pale skin, and weakness. If you or someone you are with are showing these signs, move them to a cooler environment with circulating air, loosen or remove clothing, apply coole wet cloths or spray with cool water, fan the person, and have them sip an electrylyte containing fluid such as a sports drink, coconut water, or milk (offer water if these are not available.)
