Participated in a panel discussion at the FPSO World Congress in Singapore yesterday. My key points of interventions: - FPSO supply chains are gummed up. Key long-lead OEM products are witnessing unprecedented delivery schedules due to significant ordering action from sectors such as LNG and other energy infrastructure - Many equipment categories have metamorphosed into veritable duopolies and this isn’t good for our industry - New capacities and new players need to get into the act. The same also applies to shipyards and fabyards. FPSO Clients need to work with the Contractors to expand the supply chain landscape by approving new secondary yards in places such as Batam, Vietnam and Malaysia - FPSO Clients also need to understand that with costs going up, budgets now need to be realistic. This is especially so for FPSO leasing contracts. FPSO Contractors also need to be offered good, bankable contract terms that are devoid of atavistic termination, force majeure and pollution liability terms that scare banks and financial institutions away.

KISTOS PLC says the partners in the Greater Laggan Area (GLA) gas development west of Shetland will focus on the Glendronach field for their next tie-in to the GLA export #pipeline. And in the Dutch North Sea, Kistos is working on ways of potentially improving production from existing wells at the Q10-A field and to lower costs by working with other users of the P15-D platform. The Northern Viking Graben (NVG) strikes again! 🎉👏 Operator Vår Energi with partners INPEX Idemitsu Norge, PGNiG Upstream Norway AS and Sval Energi have encountered oil and gas in PL636. The Cerisa discovery well 36/7-5 S with the addition of three sidetracks, encountered oil and gas in the Lower Cretaceous Agat Formation sandstones . The oil/ water contact was not proven.
