One isn’t enough ✈️
Some people are saying one pilot is enough. That’s like saying one wing is enough. Air travel in the U.S. is the safest mode of transportation because there are always two pilots on the flight deck.

💥 March 2nd, 1969: aviation history was made with the maiden flight of the Concorde 👇 🔹 This engineering marvel, a supersonic passenger jet, took off from Toulouse, France, for a brief but significant 27-minute journey. Test flight piloted by André Turcat. Its legacy endures, and the Concorde remains an icon of aviation history, a symbol of innovation, and a testament to human ingenuity. When do you think we could fly again supersonic? I mean we are in 2024, right? 💥 #aviation #innovation #engineering #defense #defence #military #space #aerospace #technology #ingenuity #life 📸 BBC Archive

I'm an aviation enthusiast|| Aeronautics storyteller|| Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate || RC plane modeller|| Airplane reviewer || Future avionics technologist || DM let's discuss
The Concorde was a groundbreaking supersonic commercial jet that revolutionized air travel. It was jointly developed by British and French manufacturers, with its first transatlantic crossing in 1973 and the commencement of scheduled supersonic passenger service in 1976. The Concorde had a maximum cruising speed of 1,354 mph (Mach 2.04), allowing it to significantly reduce flight times, such as completing the New York to London route in just two hours, 52 minutes, and 59 seconds. Despite its technological advancements and speed, the Concorde faced challenges such as noise, operating expenses, and limited profitability, leading to its retirement in 2003. The aircraft's legacy as a symbol of European cooperation and aerospace innovation remains significant, with some Concorde aircraft preserved in museums worldwide, including the Intrepid Museum in New York. Which Commercial Airshows Saw The Most Orders In 2023? The battle of Paris vs Dubai seems to have been a one-horse race this year, with the bi-annual Paris Air Show dwarfing the number of orders seen in the Middle East at the recent Dubai Airshow. In France, the Paris Air Show was held between June 19th and 25th, with the first four days open only to industry before three more days for the general public. Held at Paris–Le Bourget Airport (LBG), European aircraft manufacturer Airbus saw more than 800 aircraft ordered, casting a shadow on Boeing, which saw around 350 orders, in comparison to Dubai, which saw a total of 246 aircraft ordered at Boeing, versus a mere 66 for Airbus.
