When it comes to enhancing the durability and appearance of your garage, the right concrete floor coating can make all the difference. Two of the most popular choices for both residential and commercial settings are epoxy coating and polyurea coating. These high-performance coatings are known for their superior resistance to abrasion, chemical stains, and heavy traffic, making them an excellent option for garage and retail floor coatings. Choosing between an epoxy or polyurea floor coating ultimately depends on your specific needs and environment. While both offer a host of benefits, they each have unique properties that may make one a more suitable choice over the other for your garage or retail space. #lightweight & #earthquake RESISTANT We say at stone coated metal roof: “Lightweight #roofing can knock out the heavyweight.” Being 7 times lighter than #concrete or #clay roof tiles, extreme weather resistant roof tiles can even withstand smaller earthquakes. There are documented instances of other heavyweight roofing products collapsing homes while stone coated metal roofs in the same street remained intact and with minimal damage. Weakend walls can tolerate light weight roof and interlocking tiles result in strong roof. #building #construction

Polyaspartic vs. Epoxy Garage Floor Coatings Garage floors primarily benefit from two popular coating options: polyaspartic and epoxy. Both offer protective qualities and enhance the aesthetic appeal of concrete garage floors. While they share certain similarities, there are also notable distinctions between these two coatings. Polyaspartics were specifically engineered to take advantage of concrete’s porosity so they soak into it and cure within the upper layers, ensuring a robust adhesive bond is formed. In contrast, many epoxy coatings lack the ability to penetrate concrete, curing only on the surface which creates a superficial bond. Polyaspartic coatings exhibit superior strength compared to epoxy, making them more resilient and resistant to damage from both regular use and heavy or harsh impacts. When evaluating the cost of a polyaspartic floor in comparison to an epoxy floor, it’s important to consider the differences between these two coatings. Properly maintained epoxy floors can endure for 5-10 years before requiring repairs, whereas polyaspartic floors can enjoy a remarkable lifespan upwards of 20 years without repairs, provided that diligent maintenance and care are consistently applied. If you need more detailed information about epoxy and polyaspartic floor coatings, give us a shout at 403-547-5597. We’re here to help and would be happy to answer all your questions. #concretefloors #industrialconcrete #concrete #concretedesign #concreterepair #polishedconcrete #polishedconcretefloors

When is it time for a new roof? Although age doesn't always point to the need for a new roof, visible damage can indicate that help is required. Having your home inspected twice a year can help you spot the symptoms of roof damage. Spotting the clues below means it's probably time to call Whirlwind Roofing. On the outside of the house, be on the lookout for: ✔️Sagging on the roof ✔️Excessive granule loss ✔️Missing, torn, or curling shingles ✔️Holes or cracks in shingles ✔️Buckling or tears around roof flashing (the material used to weatherproof or seal the roof system edges at perimeters, penetrations, wall valleys, etc.) ✔️Stains or decay on soffits (siding protecting the underside of roof's overhang) and fascia (siding protecting the end of roof rafters—where gutters are typically attached) ✔️Blistering or peeling exterior paint Inside the home, look for: ✔️Stains or watermarks on walls or ceilings ✔️Attic leaks ✔️Peeling paint on walls or ceilings Source: GAF RoofViews

Did You Know? The word "shingle" originally referred to a roofing material made of wood, typically cedar or pine. These wooden shingles were split from logs and smoothed on one side. Over time, the term "shingle" has evolved to encompass various roofing materials, including asphalt, metal, and slate. Asphalt shingles are the most common roofing material used in the United States today, known for their durability and affordability. Metal and slate shingles offer different aesthetic and durability benefits, providing homeowners with a range of options to suit their needs and preferences. 📞 251-550-ROOF (7663) 📧 info@roofernearme.co 🌐https://roofernearme.co/ #RooferNearMe #RoofingFacts #Shingles
