Comic Agilé no. 1 - The Program Board (reshare - our first ever strip!) Use the overview of your many dependencies as fuel for reducing and, ideally, eliminating them by organizing around Value Streams or products, creating teams capable of "end-to-end" value delivery, and slicing features more vertically. As a DevOps engineer, I’ve seen firsthand how technology can simplify processes, but it’s the people and their collaboration that truly drive innovation. Innovation doesn’t just come from new tools or methods; it comes from how we work together to leverage them. #Agile #Innovation

People are easy! The lack of scientific knowledge about management is a source of problems.

... And this is not a bash on management or leadership (though there are often plenty things to bash) - It's a poke to remind people how hard it is to move culture and mindsets - And why we often go back to improving processes instead, because we then can create changes quickly. Let's commit to change the long run.. Accept the culture is slowly turning, and celebrate every small change in the right direction instead of selling quick results to satisfy KPIs.

To remove dependencies you might need organizational changes. If an organizational changes introduce dependencies, maybe it's the wrong change. And yes: it’s easier said than done.

We've all been there - teams without a clear definition of done. Or had extra statuses to denote 'Almost Done'. What are some Definition of Done anti-patterns you've witnessed? Any advice for the rest of our community? Props to GeekAndPoke for the comic! #AgileHumor #DefinitionOfDone #UtahAgile #SprintStruggles" Image Description:A humorous comic strip depicts an Agile workflow board with columns labeled 'Story,' 'Task,' 'In Process,' 'Testing,' and 'Almost Done.' The 'Almost Done' column is overflowing with sticky notes, implying a backlog of tasks nearing completion. Two perplexed individuals are observing the board, and one comments, "..AND WE'VE TRIPLED THE STORY POINTS PER SPRINT,"

I help leaders navigate change and growth to make a lasting difference in the world. | Award-winning Change Advisor, Facilitator and Coach
Do your words result in the intended outcomes? Are you speaking and leading authentically? There’s a lot of discussion these days about #ReturnToOffice mandates and what purpose they serve. Are they really intended to enable #collaboration, to build #WorkplaceCulture, to promote connections? Or do they serve other interests? Of course, the true answer to these questions is that it’s complicated! However, let’s remember this… ➡️ When leaders promote a change for its intended benefits, but then fail to follow through to ensure that these benefits are actually accomplished, you can expect to see reduced trust and employee engagement. 📉📉📉 I can’t offer any quick and easy solutions to conundrums like this. However, my instinct, and experience tell me that the path forward will involve grappling with tough questions, hosting difficult conversations, naming unpleasant truths, frankness, and transparency, and the willingness to acknowledge that you won’t get it right the first time. Are you up for this challenge? This is part of the real work of leadership. Moving without a map. Stepping forward to find the way. I'm Michael Randel, and I work with leaders and their teams as they move through Change and Growth with Calm and Confidence. Follow for more insights and to connect. #RemoteWork #Culture #leadingchange #leadership

Sprint Retrospectives are a key moment for the team to reflect on both wins and areas for improvement. It's important to celebrate successes, especially when major milestones are achieved, as this boosts morale. However, the greatest Agile success is delivering business value to stakeholders and ensuring strong adoption of the solution.
Comic Agilé no. 128 - Celebration (reshare) Instead of celebrating passing gates, such as finishing the description of requirements, testing, integration or a big bang release, why not build all of those phases into our vertically sliced, releasable PBIs and celebrate when it's adopted by the customer, instead? We’re not saying that you shouldn’t celebrate entirely. If you have really struggled and put in an enormous effort to produce the requirements specification and passed an important milestone, it does call for a collective celebration—unless you’re trying to work agile, that is. #celebration #requirements #comicagile
