Today, Timo von Focht and I left the MarTech bubble... Not forever, but for a couple of hours. We visited the EuroCIS - The Leading Trade Fair for Retail Technology and got a deep dive into Retail Tech! One thing that stood out for me: The Digital World needs the physical world more than ever. If we want to finally fill the 360 customer profiles that the MarTech bubble has been working on for years, we need real data from the physical world. If we want to realize one of my most favourite Movable Ink use case (Show real time product availability at my closest store), we need a digital cash desk that talks to the ERP system that then talks back to us.
