Last week, Patrick Carata, joined Gary Pachucki, Ernest Wong, Sheilah Carroll, Nikki Kern, and George Cardenas at Bisnow’s Chicago Repositioning and Conversions Event. The panel delved into the significant value of adaptive reuse and repositioning as strategies to overcome financial constraints while modernizing cities. Patrick shared insights on how these approaches serve as powerful tools for urban renewal, attracting new interest, investment, and ‘breathing new life’ into areas in need of revitalization. One project we’re particularly excited to see progressing is the redevelopment of 1769 Pershing Road in McKinley Park, currently in the concept design phase. This project is focused on enhancing health, well-being, and community spirit in the neighborhood. Learn more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/gHxAurDM

Gensler partnered with the Maryland Department of Transportation and the Maryland Economic Development Corporation to conduct a comprehensive study on the potential for transit-oriented development (TOD) at key MARC commuter rail stations between Washington, DC, and Baltimore. This strategy envisions transforming six stations—Seabrook, Bowie State, Odenton (rendering pictured), BWI Airport, Halethorpe, and West Baltimore—into vibrant, mixed-use communities. By focusing on sustainable, equitable growth, this plan will bring thousands of new jobs, create affordable housing, and increase transit ridership while boosting local economies. With over $800 million in projected tax revenue and new opportunities for public and private investment, we’re excited to play a part in reshaping these communities, improving connectivity, and advancing smart urban development in Maryland. https://lnkd.in/eYYDUX34

🌍 Today I was in Manchester for productive meetings with trusted partners and friends (Steve Crystal and L S Lowry pictured). We delved into the latest global fraud trends, and our discussion was not only insightful, but also a testament to the power of trusted and positive collaborations. In an era where challenges are increasingly complex and interconnected, the value of working with dependable partners cannot be overstated. Sharing ideas and solutions with those who share our commitment to integrity and innovation makes us stronger and more resilient. Together, we can tackle the toughest problems, drive meaningful change, and create a safer, more secure world. Here's to the power of collaboration! 💪✨ #Collaboration #Innovation #TrustedPartners #FraudPrevention #GlobalTrends
With a keen eye for detail, and a passion for people and the streets: L.S.Lowry, as astute as they come. One of the original architects of today’s counter-fraud practitioners perhaps? Good to get inspiration from the man himself as Gareth Davies and I focused on global fraud challenges in Manchester today. The art of collaboration.
