Strong investor confidence powers growth in Australia’s commercial property market - Burgess Rawson By Matthew Wright, Burgess Rawson Partner. Commercial property transactions across Australia have continued to grow in 2024, driven by strong investor confidence and the ongoing appeal of key asset classes. Burgess Rawson’s data found the average sale price for premium Australian commercial investment assets has increased by seven per cent in 2024, from an average sale price of $3.64 million to $3.9 million. The research shows that the 2024 market performance across key commercial property sectors in Australia highlights robust trends, with positive shifts in yields, sales volumes and transaction numbers. A fascinating morning spent with property professionals, with, as well as the Bank of England and Caxtons' 6 month update of the Kent Property Market Report, a fascinating survey of those present. Among the most interesting answers, 74% felt that market confidence in the property sector would improve over the year with most of the rest staying it would say the same. Many companies (35%) did not have a net zero target but 44% were aiming to significantly reduce emissions. The barriers to doing more were cost (46%) and knowledge (29%).
