Every once in a while we like to shine a spotlight on one of our staff members with a personal Q&A. Meet Attorney Reid Lavoie! Q: What do you love to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite food to eat or do you have a favorite place to go out to eat? A: I love to eat well-cooked meals, unfortunately, that means I didn’t cook them. I found an interesting local Thai restaurant that has become my favorite place to get tasty curry dishes. I am working to try each curry dish. Q: Do you have any pets, and if so, tell us about them? A. I have a pet dog named Cricket, a beautiful girl adopted from an animal shelter, so we are not certain what she is. She has golden fur and a love of running in circles and herding, so maybe she's a golden sheepdog? She is in 1st place in the perfect dog rankings, a position she shares with every other pet dog. She is very good at telling time and knows exactly when is dinner time. The skill she is still learning is how not to shed on a freshly vacuumed rug. Q: What is your dream vacation? A. A dream vacation is walking to Machu Picchu in Peru and seeing the views, the history, and more of those views. Q: Tell us about a hobby you have. A. My hobby each fall is to get overly excited about the one and only Mighty New England Patriots. Since they are kind enough to give me some free time this winter, I will resume my other hobby of finding local hiking/walking spots with Cricket, that good dog that loves to run outside! Q: What do you love most about working at Legacy Care Law Firm? A. The best thing about working at Legacy Care Law Firm is the great team that is here and the incredible people that are part of the office. #estateplanning #estateplanningattorneys #ma #nh

The Destination Dilemma: "If I [fill in the blank], then I'll be happy." Setting an achievable destination is problematic because it’s just that—achievable. What happens after you reach it? Let's stop chasing happiness because it can't be caught. Rather, let's set our sites on something more sustainable - fulfillment. 🐾 Bringing your dog to the office: a good idea? 🏢🐕 More and more companies are allowing their employees to bring their dogs to work. This practice not only helps to reduce stress, but also promotes a more relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for everyone. 🐶 However, having your dog in the office requires a certain amount of organization: providing a comfortable space for him, ensuring his well-being throughout the day and anticipating his needs (walks, hydration, etc.). 👉 In our article, discover the advantages of bringing your dog to work, and Sylvia MASSON advice on how to make the experience a win-win one: link in comments #DogAtOffice #AnimalWell-Being #Productivity #WorkAmbiance

And they called it, puppy love. Company culture isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the foundation of every successful organization. A strong culture fosters collaboration, drives innovation, and keeps employees engaged and motivated. It’s what attracts top talent and retains them for the long haul and we are lucky to have such a brilliant team. When we designed and built our own office space we wanted to add some personal touches. We all spend a huge part of our lives working so why shouldn't the office reflect our personalities? So, for the first installment of our new Culture Club series, we wanted to share a few of the special touches we added to our fantastic new office space! We are all animal lovers - dogs, cats, chickens... you name it! Dogs take up a bit of extra space in our hearts - so, here they are, always in the office (even if dogs aren't actually allowed on the park!). Look out for our canine pals around the place next time you pop in to say hello 🐕 ♥️ How does your workplace reflect the people who work within it? #companyculture #barketingdirectors #officedogs

It’s true – our pets can help us network! Earlier today, we held a “Petworking” event encouraging our team members to join virtually with their pets and connect with colleagues across the organization. Wary of those dreaded networking icebreakers? Not when pets are involved! We can learn a lot about co-workers when discussing shared passions like our furry family members. If you’re looking for new ways to foster connection and collaboration, I encourage you to bring pets into the mix. Has your organization done something like this before? #workplaceculture #petsatwork #pets #petworking

Chief Development Officer | Passionate about therapy dogs and other therapy animals, and strategic partnerships. Looking for a way to improve mood and productivity, while promoting a pet-friendly workplace? I can help!
The rave reviews keep coming in- and our Animal-Assisted Workplace Well-being Program is a big deal. Let me know if you would like to catch up and discuss this further! ***** “This was such a welcome treat and change of pace! It’s tough sometimes to be energized about coming into the office with everything going on these days but having 4-legged buddies to get to hang out with was easily one of the highlights of our office days. Please let the handlers know that we appreciated them taking time to bring the pups to us! If they want to bring them by every day, I’m sure a lot of us wouldn’t be opposed to that- ha-ha!” It's true! Numerous studies have shown that when people take just a few moments to pet an animal, their stress is reduced. Research also shows that animals in the workplace often lead to more productive coworker interaction, increased trust levels between colleagues, and more effective collaboration. #petpartners #dogsatwork #petsintheworkplace #therapydogs #humananimalbond

Why in the world is D&G releasing a dogs' perfume? 🤔 🐶 3 in 5 young Europeans have a pet (61%) according to YPulse data 👯♂️ Pets are integral parts of Gen Z's family 💰 They're happy to spend (a lot) for their pets New pet cemetery in Barcelona, start up that delivers fresh pet food to your door in the U.K., and now Fefé ... Dolce&Gabbana new perfume for...dogs. The market of pet-related products (and services) is booming in Europe. 👶 This means Gen Z is growing up in an environment where pets are taking very seriously (brands, take note) My business idea of the day: a summer camp business for dogs ! I’ve worked at companies with both generous "party budgets" and others with absolutely none. In one workplace, we had to pay for our own "get-togethers," even though we had no say in how much we pay or what we do, and were told to just "pay." I always thought "Why have a mandatory or coercive event?! It makes the morale go down"... but I think it's because most people believe in the power of team bonding. Here’s my take on social events: they’re a valuable investment that won’t break the bank 🎉. I think the organization wins greatly by setting aside some budget, whether it be just for bagels and coffee or a large party; I personally think the amount doesn't matter. It's about the corporate culture demonstrating that management values these interactions. Events at work aren’t just a fun escape from the daily routine. They’re essential for building stronger connections, sparking creativity, and enhancing collaboration. When colleagues feel comfortable around each other, fresh ideas start flowing, and trust grows. For someone new like me, these events help me get to know others and figure out how best to collaborate. A little fun and laughter can significantly boost morale and make the workplace feel more energized and united! I am so happy to be part of a family that shares these values 😍

Having a pet-friendly/ "hybrid" pet-friendly workplace can bring numerous benefits, but I will resume to just 3 of them: 1. Less Stress, More Smiles🐶😸: Pets help keep stress at bay and boost everyone's mood. 2. Increased Job Satisfaction and Employee Retention: Loving the job means loving the company—pet perks might make a big difference!✨ 3. Team Bonding👩🏼🤝👩🏻👨🏿🤝👨🏼👩🏻🤝👨🏽: Pets bring people together, sparking conversations and building stronger teams.
Today is “Take Your Dog to Work Day”. There’s a lot of evidence out there showing the benefits of human and animal interactions and we believe those benefits extend right down to when Associates are at work. For well over a decade, Mars has been implementing pet-friendly offices, where pets aren't just welcome, but are a fundamental part of our workplace culture. We've invested in office features designed with pets in mind, and where possible, include dog-walking routes, playgrounds, dog-friendly meeting rooms and activity areas. Interacting with pets has been shown to improve productivity, reduce workplace stress, keep us active and increase social interaction. Benefits extend to our four-legged friends, too. Allowing pets to spend the day with their owners, rather than alone, helps give them a more fulfilling life. Eddie and Twixie have been to the office several times. They always have fun and make me better and kinder at the same time – it’s a win-win for all! If you’d like to learn more about making our cities and workplaces more pet-friendly have a look at BetterCitiesForPets.com #TakeYourDogToWorkDay #BetterCitiesForPets #ProudlyMars
