The Doctor’s Life Coach ✨Helping doctors who are frustrated with the day-to-day challenges of their job feel less stressed, have more control;be more confident in work & life.
When you have been trained to respond to pages, messages, notes from nurses, texts from patients and warning bells in the hospital You will always feel like you are playing a game of wack a mole Your life will feel chaotic, unpredictable and unorganized When you immediately respond to everyone’s faux urgency and emergency You devalue your time, your schedule and your priorities You have been trained to be responsible for everything and to respond to everyone But this is not sustainable long term. To get your work done at work and retake control of your day You must triage like your life depends on it Because it does The longevity and quality of your professional career hinges on how you make decisions, respond and execute tasks right now The medical system rewards those who respond immediately by giving them more work You must decide what tasks you take on and why You must decide how and when you will respond to emails, phone calls, sticky notes, calendar invites and last minute appointments added to your schedule Although each may seem like a small distraction Little 15-20 minute disruptions will quickly eat up all your time and energy Leaving you with piles of work that you must then take home to complete. Ready to stop running behind and make life less stressful? Click the link below and I’ll show you how. https://lnkd.in/gnK76ETQ

Oct. 8-14 is National Case Management Week and ATF Medical celebrates ALL case managers -- and especially those who work on catastrophic workers’ compensation files. Catastrophic case managers have demanding and multifaceted roles. Their injured workers have experienced life-changing injuries and need complex care, sophisticated medical equipment and a guide through the maze of treatments and services. Not only do case managers help injured workers navigate a bewildering healthcare system they help them navigate an equally confusing workers’ comp system. Because case managers also provide emotional support and education, their workers’ comp patients come to rely on them, and often build close friendships with them. When handling catastrophic claims, case managers form collaborative relationships with treating physicians and other medical service providers focused on a shared goal of bringing injured individuals into as much independence and functionality as possible. Case managers take a proactive approach to the workers’ care, helping avoid unnecessary procedures, hospital visits, and medications. They evaluate treatment plans and advocate for appropriate cost-effective solutions, without compromising quality. When their workers’ comp patients need complex rehab technology and/or home modifications, many case managers choose to work with ATF Medical. Here’s what Catastrophic Nurse Case Manager Jeanine Zukerman Zukerman, BSN RN, CCM has to say about her experience with us: “The assistive technology professionals at ATF Medical collaborate with case managers to ensure delivery of optimal product solutions for individuals with complex health care needs. Trained specialists with product knowledge and experience explain the benefits of adaptive medical equipment and provide service that specifically meets the individual’s needs.” We appreciate Jeanine and the other strong and supportive case managers active in workers’ compensation. Thank you! #CaseManagement #NationalCaseManagementWeek #CatastrophicClaims #WorkersCompensation #ComplexRehabTechnology #AssistiveTechnology #ATFMedical #ComplexMadeSimple

I Help Attorneys Build Clinically Sound Cases By Interpreting EMRs + Audit Trails | Expertise 🎯Hyperlinked Chronologies | Expert Location | Synthesizing Complex Medical Research | ICU+Dialysis RN
Years of experience = crystal ball? 🤔 Ok, maybe not a crystal ball, but there is this crucial concept called CLINICAL GESTALT. Have you heard of it? It's where providers of all types who have been around the block a few times start developing a 'gut feeling' about patients and their presentation. Developing this 'gut' is not an overnight process. It's a culmination of years of experience, analytical thinking, and the ability to recognize signs and symptoms in patients before others. It's a testament to the value of years in the field. But that doesn't mean years of experience automatically = rockstar, either. Nope, you can still be bad at something, even if you have been doing that thing for a while. 😉 ➡️ When I was a new nurse, I often worried if I was making the right decisions and wondered if I could trust my instincts. 🎧 I learned to listen to those around me with WAY more experience than I had, and I asked a TON of questions. Night shift nurses Mike and Colleen inspired me. I watched these nurses and emulated their good care, habits, and techniques. I'll never forget one night shift in the ICU when I just had a bad feeling about my patient. I couldn't put my finger on it. Everything 'looked' ok...so I asked these two nurses for another perspective. I asked, "What am I missing?" Mike told me, "You are not missing anything...you are developing your gut...trust it." I called the resident at 2 AM with my concerns. I was told, "It was nothing." So, I called the attending and presented the same facts, and he listened. He had me run some labs, which told a much different story. My patient was becoming septic. No amount of books smart can replace years of experience that can help to predict what is coming up with your patient. Tell me how you developed your 'gut.' What or who helped you? I want to hear about your experience when you trusted your gut. Drop them in the comments! #law #legalnurse #medicalmalpractice #trialattorney #CMLC #criticalcarenurse
