Using the word "crisis" may discourage people from accessing the help they need, thinking their situation isn't dire or urgent enough to call. The Lifeline is available when you need someone supportive to talk to, or when you are concerned about a loved one. Before you post about 988, be sure to read the new messaging toolkits. Feel free to use this as inspiration for your next social media post: "Need support? You are not alone. You can call or text 988 to reach a caring, trained counselor, 24/7/365. Conversations are free and confidential."
