Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. Great job Lauren and the entire Serve Week support team. #foundrycommercial #itspersonal #theocho #serveweek2024

Join Building Impact in fighting against summer hunger for families in need by contributing to their Summer Food Drive. In Massachusetts, 36% of surveyed households with children reported that their child is food insecure. With summer break coming up for kids, many families who rely on school-provided breakfasts and lunches may be struggling to purchase food. 100% of all donations will go to their three partners: Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. (ABCD), Boston Medical Center (BMC)'s Preventative Food Pantry, and People Helping People, Inc. - Burlington MA to help deliver meals. Together, through Building Impact, our community can ensure that these partners distribute nutritious groceries by providing local families with essential sustenance throughout the summer: https://lnkd.in/eHi7tG5y #PhilanthropicFriday #BuildingImpact #SummerFoodDrive

This project was both fun and saddening. Over 1000 children told us why food is important to them. Many showed us that systemic #hunger issues are recognized even at such a young age. Some notable quotes: "If we can conquer space, we can conquer childhood hunger." "Hunger is something no one should struggle with or be judged for." "They got money for wars but can't feed the poor." "If you can't feed 100 people, then just feed one. One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." "Food is important to me because I have food but not everyone has food." "Food is important to me because it helps you physically and mentally. Don't stop eating because you're unhappy with your body." "A pointed commentary on the class divide, how food is sustenance for some and decadence for others." #HungerActionDay #HungerActionMonth
It's Hunger Action Day! Today, we filled the James Renshaw Orchard with 1,500 orange paper plates decorated by local children to raise awareness about food insecurity. The 1,500 plates represent the number of students in the Erie Public School District who receive a bag from the Second Harvest BackPack Program weekly. The program discreetly places kid-friendly, nutritious foods in participating children’s backpacks on Fridays to ensure they have what they need over the weekend and during school breaks. 1 in 5 children in northwest Pennsylvania experience food insecurity. Join us during Hunger Action Month! Every action counts - whether you donate, advocate, volunteer, or spread the word. Our Hunger Relief Story: How We Served 75 million Meals in 4 Years --- Check out our latest story on our website! https://buff.ly/3MJa7XO In 2009, our nonprofit embarked on a mission to provide enriching after-school and summer camp programs for underserved communities in the DMV area. For a decade, we proudly created a safe haven for countless children. But when the pandemic struck, our world changed overnight. Facing a new and pressing need, we turned our attention to the most basic necessity: food. What began as a few tents for food pickups evolved into a massive effort to feed our children and their families. Our mission expanded rapidly as we responded to the growing demand, and we are proud to share that we’ve now provided an extraordinary 75 million meals to those in need. 🍽️🎉 This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to our community and the incredible support we’ve received from people like you. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that rescued food reaches those who need it most, even as we navigate the limitations of our resources. The need is still great, and we rely on the generosity of our community to continue this vital work. Here’s how you can help: Donate: Your financial support helps us sustain our programs and reach more families. Volunteer: Join us in distributing meals and making a direct impact in our community. Organize a Food Drive: Help us collect essential resources to support our mission. Together, we’ve achieved so much, but there is still more to be done. Your contributions are crucial in sustaining our efforts and expanding our reach. 👉 Ready to make a difference? Learn more about how you can support our mission: [buff.ly/3TqRknK ] Thank you for your continued support and for standing with us in this journey of compassion and community. Together, we can make a difference, one meal at a time. #SoWhatElseHelps #WhatWeDoToHelp #? #AreYouHungry #CommunityImpact #HungerRelief #Donate #Volunteer #GiveBack #EndHunger

There’s plenty of food in America; yet 1 in 7 people (including 1 in 5 kids) still don’t have the food they need to thrive so we’re doing something a little different this year. To commemorate our third annual National Traffic Door Day, which celebrates traffic doors and the businesses that use them to keep customers and employees safe, we want to make a positive impact in the communities where we operate and reside. As part of our commitment to giving back, we are delighted to announce our support for Feeding America during the month of September, in observance of #HungerActionMonth. For every action taken, including posting a selfie with a traffic door, following the Chase & Eliason LinkedIn pages, liking our social media posts, and sharing our content, we will donate $10 to Feeding America. Furthermore, on September 28, we will double our contributions for each action performed. We believe that by coming together and taking these simple actions, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight against hunger. Join us in this initiative and help us make a positive impact in the lives of those in need. Together, we can create a brighter future for our communities. Hunger is just the tip of the iceberg. On this #HungerActionDay, we want to highlight the incredible work of organizations across New Jersey that are tirelessly fighting food insecurity. However, hunger is often a symptom of deeper, interconnected factors—what the health sector refers to as social determinants of health. From income inequality and unemployment to housing conditions, education, and access to healthcare, these are all factors that play a crucial role in exacerbating food insecurity. At the Franklin Food Bank, we recognize that addressing hunger alone isn’t enough. That's why we’ve expanded our services beyond food distribution with programs that offer health screenings, SNAP navigation, a client choice market, nutrition workshops, financial literacy, and even school distribution programs—ensuring a holistic approach to community care. To our volunteers, donors, and sponsors—thank you for making it possible to tackle hunger from all angles. Together, we go beyond food security and strive to improve the overall well-being of those we serve, offering support in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Want to learn more about our services? The number of people living in food insecure households in the U.S. increased to 47 million, including nearly 14 million children. In a statement, CFBNJ President & CEO Elizabeth McCarthy responded to the new data: "Together with all sectors of society, from our neighbors in need to government and nonprofit partners to individual, community, and corporate supporters, we can greatly reduce food insecurity in New Jersey and across the country."
