Give to the Max Day is here! Today is a celebration of the incredible abundance of our community. It is a day to look within ourselves to acknowledge and share the unique abundance in each of our lives: How am I showing up for my neighbors today? How can I challenge attitudes of scarcity, when I know that our community has each other's backs? What can I do today to make sure my neighbors know they can count on our community safety net? 2024 is the hungriest year our community has ever seen. CEAP is on track for a record amount of food served as we see the highest need for our Food Market in our 52-year history. At the same time, we know that many neighbors face barriers - like mobility challenges and lack of access to transportation – that prevent them from reaching CEAP’s doors. That’s where “CEAP On the Move” steps in. No matter the barrier, CEAP is here to fill gaps in access. We need to know – are you with us in the fight against hunger? www.givemn.org/CEAP24

This is such a heartwarming initiative! 🌱 In Massachusetts, nonprofits are redefining farmers markets as community hubs. Mass Farmers Markets (MFM) connects over 200 markets, supporting local farms and promoting healthy eating. Through programs like SNAP Match, families can double their food budgets, making fresh produce accessible to all. Live Well Watertown fosters wellness through its vibrant market. Every Wednesday, locals gather for fresh food and music, with SNAP purchases matched to ensure everyone can participate. Arlington EATS combats food insecurity by providing meals to children and adapting quickly to community needs, even supporting affordable housing. These nonprofits are transforming farmers markets into vital lifelines, nurturing health and building community. (Source: Greg Herrigel, Garden & Health)

🌟 Today was a day filled with gratitude and collaboration at Farmhouse Rescue. We were honored to host a fantastic group of volunteers from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. Together, we rolled up our sleeves, dove into the work, and were reminded once again of the incredible power of community. 💪 Seeing everyone get thoroughly stuck in was a true testament to the spirit of giving back and making a difference. Their dedication and enthusiasm served as a reminder of how fortunate we are to have such amazing nonprofits rooting for us. 🤝 Collaborations like these highlight the immense good we can achieve when we come together. By pooling our resources, talents, and passions, we can create positive change that reverberates far beyond the confines of our individual organizations. 🌈 Let's continue to foster these partnerships, nurture our community bonds, and strive towards a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Together, there's no limit to what we can accomplish! #Collaboration #Gratitude 💫 David Blair Kristal Amezquita Kristle Duran, MBA Katie Richmond Amber Plummer Pepper Russell, IOM Giselle Soltero Eric Santana Ariel Del Pinto Danielle Judd Helen Blick

There are nine days left until Christmas and the holiday season is a powerful reminder that the most meaningful gifts often require sacrifice. True generosity isn’t about the size of the gift but the willingness to put others’ needs and happiness ahead of our own. Whether it’s giving time, energy, or resources, the act of giving from a place of selflessness creates lasting impact. I regularly donate to causes that make a direct impact in the lives of the less fortunate. Loaves and Fishes in Clarksville, TN is a organization that feeds the homeless of our community. It’s a organization open everyday except Sunday throughout the entire year. There is no judgement, no questions, just food and space. Citizens, businesses, volunteers, and church organizations sacrifice their supplies, time, and money to keep this place buzzing. In our professional lives, we have daily opportunities to embrace this mindset. It could be offering mentorship or support to a colleague by sharing your expertise or simply being present for someone who needs encouragement. These moments of sacrificial generosity, when we set aside our own priorities to help others, strengthen connections and foster trust in our teams. This season, let’s focus on giving in a way that makes a difference. When we dedicate ourselves to the joy or success of others, we not only enrich their lives but also create a ripple effect of positivity and growth. #Generosity #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture https://lnkd.in/gB2uAuJe

SATURDAY MORNING (SEPTEMBER 21ST) at 8:30 AM our amazing Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Phoenix will be cleaning up the community once again! For this Community Clean-Up, our volunteers will be joining Crisco Kidd Block Party and Crisco's Kids and meeting up at Palma Park located at 1135 E. Dunlap Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85020 to clean up 12th St, between Dunlap Ave and Northern Ave! NO OPEN-TOED SHOES Cleaning up loose trash is one of the best ways to pitch in for your community and the environment. Volunteering as a means to help conserve and protect the environment has a lot of upsides. Of course, the first is that you’ll be taking care of our planet, and it badly needs a little love given the myriad ways in which we’ve become adept at destroying it. But beyond that, volunteering for a cause you care about is a great way to meet like-minded people, make friends, and pull yourself out of the blues that sometimes accompany caring a lot about something important – especially if you feel alone in your endeavors. None of us like the sight of litter. Litter spoils the look of where we live but that’s not the only reason for picking up litter. There are a number of benefits from picking up litter that you may not have considered before. Volunteer-led projects such as these are one of the quickest, simplest, and least expensive ways to inspire more community spirit and civic action. A visually appealing community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood's image. Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in community attachment, which means loyalty, to your particular town or city. Some research even shows that a nice-looking neighborhood promotes good behavior. Join us in keeping the community clean! For more information: https://lnkd.in/gQNG4Rrr #TeamWhoIAm_Phoenix
