This post was posted by our local Shire last night, this is two replies I got when I shared it. ➡️ “A local council being influenced by young girls covered in tattoos with absolutely no idea. What has the world come too?” ➡️ “Had there been a vote I think the outcome would be very different. Local government needs people with at least some life experience. Get ready for the shit show.” Note: I did fix some terrible spelling errors in the second comment 😂 I was a life representation of the eye roll emoji when I read these comments. So, some quick retorts: ✅ I absolutely am covered in tattoos (wish I had more) but I’m not sure what my appearance has to do with anything. ✅ There are much bigger issues in the world than me (who actually isn’t considered a young person anymore 😭) joining local government. ✅ Shouldn’t we be encouraging more younger people to be actively involved in decision making bodies like local government? ✅ had there have been a vote and people chose someone they believed to be more suited to the role, incredible! I would have supported that decision. As it turns out only four people were willing to take on the responsibilities and experience, the amount of spots available. ✅ I think the amount of life experience I have compared to other members is the reason I make a good addition. I can advocate on behalf of younger people and younger families. Anyway… I’m excited to be joining and for the new experience!

I've had some interesting conversations with other nurses the last few weeks about the power of networking. Many nurses have noticed that nursing school doesn't teach us about networking. It's great for business AND your professional brand. Business deals and job offers really can be and are often done offline at conferences, airports, golf courses, etc. This is because of the power that is networking. What led you to pursue a career as a General Practitioner? ✏️ Serve the people who are more in need of primary care in different parts of the world.

2. 🧵 Firstly, as the Clinical Operations lead, I was in charge of ensuring that the day-to-day operations from the clinical side ran smoothly. Efficient providers such as Emeka Ogbodo, Fabian Igbaji MPH and Alimot Hassan had the essential tools, resources and updates to ensure they could carry out their teletherapy practice at industry standards and with best practices. My tasks also included ensuring their licenses and credentials were up-to-date before they could care for users and preparing their payment reports using #Retool at the end of each month, being the connective link between the clinical end, the product development team, and the clients to ensure a seamless flow of information and resources between all parties involved etc. I'm primarily proud of this part of this Role for the following: 1. To significantly reduce the wait time and no-shows from the client and user's perspective, the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy was developed and implemented alongside the amiable Product Team; thanks, Emma Unuode, for collaborating with me on this. 2. I got to flex my #communityengagement skills during the monthly virtual clinical meet-ups. These meet-ups provided avenues for regular mixers, knowledge-sharing sessions, and more. My learnings from this? 1. People are difficult to manage, and you must be patient when working with professionals who work strictly with time. 2. Thanks to my providers, I understand #clinicaltherapy management in-depth. They made it so easy for me to catch up! 3. Being open to receiving both positive and negative feedback, as this is needed during the product development journey.

🗣 Last summer I became aware that my purpose is to now serve professionals who experienced a significant life event that trap them in observing life from the sidelines without true connection and intimacy with others.
