🌀 As hurricane season approaches, it's crucial to prioritize safety for ourselves and our communities. This time around I partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County to bring resources to the community. 🏠 ✅ Share this post to spread awareness about the importance of hurricane shelters. 1️⃣ Know Your Shelter: Find the nearest hurricane shelter in your area. Visit https://lnkd.in/eh9rw76Y for a list of local shelters and guidelines. 2️⃣ For people with medical conditions and people with pets: Pre-Register for a Shelter at https://lnkd.in/eXDmeJ5y 3️⃣ Help Others: Check on neighbors, especially the elderly or those with special needs, to ensure they have a safe shelter plan. Let's prioritize safety, support each other, and stay informed during hurricane season. Together, we can weather any storm! 🌊 #HurricanePreparedness #SafetyFirst #CommunityStrong #emergencypreparedness #healthcare #medicare #humemployee

It's that time of year when my social media is covered with contractors smashing posts reminding us hurricane season is upon is 🤣. I get it I sit and think about people that live in areas that are known coastal targets or even have had bad experiences with storms. Maybe one way to think about it would be funeral home directors with posts wringing their hands and saying "Flu Season or Malaria Season" is upon us. We can handle any burial big or small". A doctor or clinic saying "Get ready for global pandemic season". Here and ready to go. It's possible that ads and posts of more value could be created. Big trailers and trucks aren't really impressive to potential customers in this realm. It makes us feel better, but our avatar wants to know they can trust you, you have the experiences they need and that you have iron clad and proven processes. Showcase one of your workflows that would speak to a concern. Just giving a different perspective.

After living many storm-filled years on the coasts of NC and SC, our household planned and pre-staged. #beprepared #bestormready From NPR: Natural disasters like Tropical Storm Idalia, Hurricane Hilary, or the wildfires that devastated Hawaii can happen anywhere with little to no warning. FEMA and the Red Cross recommend that everyone have an emergency go bag prepared. Here's how to pack one: Have at least a three-day water supply available per person and pack shelf-stable foods without an expiration date. Include a first aid kit and medications. Bring copies of important documents like passports and medical information. Keep your go bag nearby, like in your garage or closet. *my adds: Make a plan for pets Have a plan for your business

Hurricane season is upon us. Is your home ready? We can't stop the wind and rain, but we can help secure things to minimize the impact to your home. Things like: - putting away the outdoor furniture - securing detached siding - securing detached gutter straps - removing or storing unsecure items that can blow away or cause damage - secure awnings - tighten screens and storm doors - secure shutters - canopies secured or removed and stored This is a just a short list of examples, and we realize they all seem like little things, but we know some folks aren't able to do these types of things themselves easily. Our senior citizens and folks with mobility issues or other health issues may be limited in their ability to prepare in time. We're here to help. #handyman #wefixthebrokenthings #homerepair #homemaintenance #homerepair
