I wanted to share we at Community Health Choice had the privilege of hosting the "Better Together: A Community Conversation on Mental Health and Wellness" roundtable! It was an insightful and impactful event where we discussed crucial issues facing our community. We explored the alarming statistics and challenges related to mental health in the Houston region, especially among our youth and underrepresented groups. The discussions highlighted the urgent need for increased access to mental health care and the importance of supporting each other in these challenging times. A big thank you to all the amazing people who participated and shared their perspectives. Together, we can work towards a healthier and more supportive community. 🌼 #MentalHealth #CommunityHealth #BetterTogether #MentalWellness
Important discussion on this frequently overlooked crisis in healthcare today. I applaud all who participated
Looove this being a Type1 Diabetic this part of the community is sometimes left untouched. Did you have someone like me to touch on the mental well being of someone dealing with Diabetes?
Great work! Love to see so many familiar faces.
This is awesome! #MentalHealthMatters
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect around such impactful topics. Thank you for the invitation, Lisa!

2moCHC has created yet another barrier for Texas patients to access HIV treatments recommended by their doctors, who already face obstacles such as affordability. CHC offers two insurance plans under the federally facilitated marketplace, both of which restrict access to antiretroviral HIV treatments. Of the 107 HIV drugs listed in their “Premier” plan, 36 are not covered. In their “Select” plan 54 out of 107 drugs are not covered and the majority of the drugs covered are not widely used in treatment of HIV. Instead of STRs, patients are often given older, less effective medications, which force patients to take multiple tablets, impacting the quality of life for people living with HIV and increasing the ineffectiveness of HIV treatment.
