Adjunct Faculty, Graduate School of Healthcare Management, RCSI; Programme Director – MSc Loss & Bereavement and MSc Loss & Bereavement (Clinical Practice)
Such an interesting module, and well done to you@lizgleeson for your expertise in guiding our MSc students through this important subject.
Another wonderful few days spent with the MSc Bereavement & Loss students at Irish Hospice Foundation. Their interest and enthusiasm remind me of why I find this area of work so interesting, humbling and worthwhile. We spent our last module together looking at Prolonged Grief Disorder - when our grieving process goes off track, causing intense, ongoing suffering. Thankfully there is very effective treatment available, to help people live worthwhile and fulfilling lives again, despite their loved ones' death. #prolongedgriefdisorder #drkathyshear #shapesofgrief #grieftherapy

We do this work for those with disenfranchised grief. When we think of grief, we often think of bereavement from death of a loved one.
