How do we help enable local leaders working with communities to see more activation in their work? The first step is to understand where their work is and how it relates to both the larger system it lives and the smaller systems it serves Through the lens of living system design and working through regenerative development processes, we are able to self-organise and system-actualise in a coordinated, collaborative, and nourishing way across systems and place Networked social infrastructure allows us to communicate and share both resources and knowledge across distance and time through a field of reciprocity Regen Places Network is the growing mycelium network that provides a developmental home for these local leaders and communities to gather around the campfire in service to the future What is one thing you could do today to contribute to this ecosystem? https://lnkd.in/gjg6fNrS Willow Berzin Sarah Heys Techa Beaumont Simon Jankelson @anthony Kerr Raymond V. #regenerativedesign #regenerativedevelopment #livingsystems #networking #community #communitydevelopment #communityleaders #leadership

Change doesn’t happen overnight. It’s the small victories that keep us going. These moments inspire and fuel us to continue. Each step forward, no matter how small, matters. But don’t forget to pause and celebrate... 1. Successful community initiatives. 2. Policy changes at local or national levels. 3. Increased representation in leadership roles. 4. Recognizing these moments keeps us motivated. So, what’s your recent achievement in advocacy or community? Alisha Ally, Global Development Visionary.

3x published book author, educator, podcaster, social advocate, influencer who is not afraid of developing unique solutions to complex problems
📢 Reflecting on a Powerful Week of Growth! 🙌🏽 I recently had the honor of participating in a 5-day, 10-hour workshop with the incredible team members of Landsdowne Up, hosted on behalf of a grant through SWIC. Over the course of the week, we delved deep into Emotional Awareness, Communication Management, Conflict Resolution, and Leadership. 🌱 One of the key takeaways was recognizing the importance of understanding our individual strengths and challenges. These personal insights not only shape how we engage professionally, but they also influence our interactions at home and within our communities. 👂🏽 We explored the critical role that active listening plays in minimizing conflict, ensuring that we respond thoughtfully and appropriately in challenging situations. 💡 Leadership is so much more than a title or position. It’s about connecting with others, inspiring them, and utilizing empathy to create meaningful change in every facet of our lives. This holistic approach to leadership empowers us to motivate, uplift, and positively impact our homes, communities, and professional environments. ✊🏽 I also took a moment to acknowledge the unique challenges that Black men face, from health concerns to societal pressures. I issued a challenge to all men: identify ways to make an impact in your immediate circle and give back holistically. A huge thank you to SWIC and Landsdowne Up for this memorable and transformative experience. Let's continue to grow and inspire together! 🔥 #Leadership #EmotionalAwareness #ActiveListening #ConflictResolution #CommunityImpact #MensHealth #HolisticLeadership #SWIC #LandsdowneUp #PBS1914 #UpperEchelonSigmas #Blackexcellence #89Blocks #Stlouis #Eaststlouis

By lifting the heads of young people “away from their screens and into the eyes of peers, mentors, coaches, role models, and others”, summer camps provide a unique place for young people to develop with patience and care. In a recent article for the SAPIR Journal written by Melissa Frey, an FJC Executive Leadership Institute IV graduate, touches on how summer camps are in the unique position of being phone-free spaces. On the way home from the Global Leadership Exchange 2024. Wonderful to meet inspired lived experience leaders from around the world. Inspiring that our values, challenges and aspirations run strongly through us like a heartbeat. I bring home a willingness to step into my own opportunities to serve my community with seeds planted in relation to:- 1. The nurturing of Collective Leadership as a must for bringing lived experience to bear from ground to sky. 2. The importance of working with and learning from indigenous and community leaders and other oppressed groups. 3. Making a loving and respectful space for the traumatic experiences of others especially those who have experienced and are experiencing) the violence of the mental health system. 4. Taking the time to understand the ecosystem I work within and grow innovation from this fuller perspective. System change is needed and it will come from lived experience leaders so I’m going to carve out that nurturing environment in North Central London. From Teens to Leaders: How Livermore is Preparing Youth for Government Roles & Marianna Marysheva & her team are leading the charter. Civic leaders work wonders behind the scenes, whether it's through public service actions, sharing thought leadership content, supporting the community, or driving strategic initiatives for residents. To celebrate their incredible contributions, as part of our #ShoutOutFriday series, where we highlight one outstanding city leader each week. And this week, we want to give #Shoutout to Marianna Marysheva, City Manager at City of Livermore and her team. __ Youth are the future of our great nation, and their involvement in government is crucial for nurturing the next generation of leaders. We want our young people to be active participants in local, state, and federal government, preparing them to eventually lead and make our world a better place. However, engaging youth in government can be challenging. The word "government" can seem overwhelming to the younger crowd. A good way to break that barrier and help them get comfortable is by involving them early on, especially during their school years. That’s precisely what the leaders at the City of Livermore are doing with their Teen Academy. This program provides an excellent opportunity for youth to gain firsthand experience and understanding of local government operations. I want to give a #ShoutOut to Marianna Marysheva, City Manager at City of Livermore and her team for leading this initiative. She is experienced in revitalizing and refocusing organizations of various sizes and complexities, cutting through bureaucratic red tape to enhance transparency, flexibility, customer satisfaction, and accountability. It is admirable to see city leaders prioritizing their time, energy and efforts to bring these type of initiatives to life. 👏 Kudos to the whole team and thank you for this initiative. __ If you are in the Livermore area and want you kids to get involved, you can check out their various programs on their website. 🌟 My favorite being: Getting youth involved in advisory commissions: It promotes youth involvement in the Livermore community and supports communication between the elected leaders and the young people in the area. We did it today. We turned an idea into a reality. And, it feels so damn good. - I've been called many things in life (some of which I can't and shouldn't share here on LinkedIn), but there are some titles I've been really proud to have. For instance, "Mr. Nguyen" when I taught sixth grade. Or "Captain Nguyen" during my time in the Air Force. But "Coach"... well, that's new to me. So I tried it on for size today. It was even printed in big bold letters on the back of my hoodie. And it fit quite well if I'm being honest. Moving forward, as I continue pursuing my own lofty dreams, my hope is that everyone within our close-knit BTR TMRW community is empowered to do the same, with the same passion and determination. You see, we have the right partner ecosystem in place to make it happen for you, whether it's personal development, real estate & home ownership, or mental & physical wellbeing. Ultimately, it's about what matters most in the moment and how you'd like to walk the path. Because at the end of the day, it's about putting it all together and creating a legacy that stands the test of time. And, yes, we also believe starting early matters. Here's to shaping the lives of our youth as we work towards building a Better Tomorrow. 💪 - BTR TMRW Joewel Pascual | Elizabeth Pascual | Peter Tapao CrossFit of Fremont #youthempowerment #youthleaders #leadership #physicalwellness #mentalwellness #personaldevelopment #realestate #lending #homeownership #generationalwealth #btrtmrw
