If it didn’t come from a direct deposit, electronic form, or check (with a copy of it handy), your mortgage lender can’t count it as assets. Even then, they still may ask a question or two more to make sure its crystal clear what happened. Lenders require, typically, 60 days of bank statements. So if there’s a large deposit 61 days ago—we would not see it and therefore would not need to source it. You see what I’m saying?
