We had a wonderful meeting theme: World Food Day! Not a good choice for those who haven't had lunch and had to listen to mouth-watering impromptu descriptions of favorite meals (breakfast burrito), snacks (savory vs sweets), drinks (Dirty Lemon Martini), and restaurants. The two breakfast recommendations in Fullerton is worth mentioning:  1. Early Bird - Order the "real Deal" Holyfield Steak and eggs if you dare.  2. Monkey Business Cafe, serves breakfast and lunch, while providing marketable employment skills to foster and at-risk youth. Can you share your favorite food or restaurant?

As an architect, I approach a food desert phenomenon by organizing big pieces of the puzzle. I am asking what are physical characteristics of various food desert environments and, consequently - how to prioritize and negotiate major obstacles to help individuals and communities to get on the path to food security and eventually, embrace "food is medicine" paradigm. Support and Empowerment for Mamas: For mothers, this space is not just about the children; it’s also about empowerment. Sharing strategies for coping with the challenges of mothering, adapting to a new culture, and balancing family life becomes easier when there is a supportive community to lean on. Embracing New Beginnings: In conclusion, gatherings that bring together moms and toddlers are crucial for building lasting relationships that enhance our community fabric.
