Faithful Sunday Secret to Happiness This Thanksgiving weekend, many of us reflect on what we are thankful for. But I invite you to take a moment to think about those who are struggling to find reasons to be thankful. Whether justified or not, their mindset is a challenge they face. During the holiday season, countless charities and organizations seek support, and while financial assistance is valuable, there’s another way to make a difference – even for those who are struggling with their finances. Consider offering the gift of forgiveness this holiday season, especially to someone who may not deserve it. Forgiving those who deserve it is easy and that’s not a true gift. But choosing to forgive someone undeserving has the power to make the world a better place. Imagine if everyone gave this gift this year - how many struggles would be lifted, how many families would reconcile? If this idea resonates with you but you are finding it hard to let go, I encourage you to read Mark 11:25-26 and explore messages from the House of Hope, where Bill shares inspiring teachings from God’s Word on forgiveness. This season, let’s make an effort to bring hope and healing into the world. May you have a blessed day and week ahead! #FaithfulSunday #HowCanIBeSaved #Forgiveness #HouseofHope House of Hope Online houseofhopeonline.com

How to stop your church from dying. How to grow your church. 1. After Church every Sunday have snacks for those in attendance. This will take an investment of church member’s time and money, but the return in tithe and offerings and the increase in the church membership is well worth this effort. A) Instead of rushing home to get food, those who are in dire need of food can go to the fellowship hall to eat. No fellowship hall; set it up at the back of the church and let them eat in the pews. B) Do not forget these are tough economic times (I believe to get tougher yet.) and there are people who do not have much to eat and do not eat often; specially children. C) When the community realizes that the local Church is serving food at the end of service for attendees, guess what? They will come and you can bless them with spiritual (eternal) food and physical (temporal) food. D) Let it be known that the dress code rules have been lifted so they can come as they are—just come. When they come in ragged clothes, you have to love them just as they are—clothes, smell, sin, and all. Know this: Jesus will be in the crowd. E) Pass out some type of handout to the new attendees about the Church, or Jesus, or a Scripture lesson; something to connect them to the Church. F) Each week a different Church group (Mission Board, Deacon Board, Usher Board) can bring the food items. Or two or more members can be delegated each week to bring something.

Bring peace amidst conflict. Bring peace when others seek unnecessary battles. Bring peace because the right words or actions can achieve great things. Bring peace because forgiveness and love can be difficult. Please bring peace before it's too late. Take action now; don't wait for holidays. Many things happen outside of holidays. I apologize, please forgive me, thank you. Bring peace because my love for you surpasses our struggles. Bring peace because loved ones want to share moments with you, not mourn. Bring peace before regret overwhelms us. I give gifts throughout the year before and after holidays because my last day is uncertain. Here's a gift without expectation. Children don't need many gifts at once, we created their expectations. This is another coffee drop towards filling your cup.

All GoHealth training and events puts conversation at the heart of learning. And we do this on purpose for three very important reasons: 1. When we connect with our stories and listen to one another we can learn about healing, flourishing and God being active in our lives; 2. Sharing stories creates a sense of community and a collective sense of direction and purpose for our churches and Christian groups; 3. When everyone is given a chance to share and listen, then the momentum for creating new missional possibilities is generated. These reasons are at the heart of the purpose of GoHealth to equip and inspire people to nurture health and healing, in ourselves, in our communities and in the world. Over the last few years we have been honing our skills and piloting a very special one off group session with prayers and questions designed for any Christian gathering to have this experience of connecting faith, health and mission. And we are thrilled to launch it this week!!! Click here: https://lnkd.in/ekbJJmBw The resource contains everything that you will need to create a positive, safe and deep time of sharing. The session is designed to last between 90 and 120 minutes, and offers a combination of prayer, bible readings and structured group conversation that will help people explore the topic, feel heard and connect into the healing potential of the Christian Faith. It also comes with a guide to set up and leading the event. It is for house groups, church gatherings, chaplaincies...indeed, for any 'when two of more are gathered in my name' type situation. And to celebrate this new resource, we are selling it for half price during September 2024 - just £10! I hope that this new resource will inspire you to take your group into a conversation about healing and mission. I know that every time I use this resource or have been part of the conversation, I learn more about myself, my vocation and God, and feel more energised to be a healing presence in the world. 🌟 Why Memorial Day Matters: A Psychologist’s Perspective 🌟 Hey everyone! As we enjoy the long weekend, let’s take a moment to reflect on why Memorial Day is so significant. 🕊️ 🔍 Memory & Meaning: Remembering our fallen heroes is more than a tradition. It’s a powerful act that connects us to our history and to each other. Honoring their sacrifice reminds us of the values they fought for – freedom, courage, and unity. 🤝 Community & Connection: Coming together for parades, BBQs, and family gatherings strengthens our bonds. It’s a chance to share stories, create new memories, and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy thanks to those who served. 💖 Gratitude & Growth: Expressing gratitude is great for our mental health. It shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have, fostering a sense of appreciation and positivity. So, while you’re flipping those burgers or catching up with friends, remember: Memorial Day is about more than a day off – it’s about honoring our past, celebrating our present, and inspiring a brighter future. 🇺🇸✨ Stay mindful, stay grateful, and have a fantastic Memorial Day! 🌼🎉 What are you doing today? #memorialday #syncovate #rememberandhonor

🙏 Sharing this prayer request with many of you who have been following and supporting this gospel movement among our nation's first responder and their families. 🙏 We are praying for more highly qualified board members in 2025. Mission First Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was started less than two years ago, and doing what no other organization is doing. This is a national (with international interest) gospel focused first responder alliance, BRINGING REAL HOPE TO FIRST RESPONDERS. We are uniting and equipping all who have a heart to reach them for Christ. https://lnkd.in/exChrAr3 We believe this our nation's greatest UNSEEN mission field, and isolation has been all too prevalent among Christian first responders and those trying to reach them with Real Hope. Also, the need for Real Hope in Jesus is greater than you can imagine. Even the first responder suicides, mental health statistics, and divorce rates don't even scratch the surface in illustrating the need. Desired Board Profile: To be more specific, we desire a board with 9 positions, where around half of the board has first responder/ ministry experience, and the other half of the board has executive or operational experience. We currently have 5 board members. Current board members: Mark Anderson, Joshua Zuray, Allen Scroggs, Darren Lindblom, and Lindsay Coppinger. More info here: https://lnkd.in/e2eXrCAs We would love to add board members with executive experience, financial experience, and an attorney. Most Important Qualification: Understanding and Belief in the Mission. We are waiting on God's timing, and not rushing to fill positions. We are just starting the conversation with some interested candidates. Please share this with anyone you think might be interested or a good candidate. Yesterday I shared this statement from one of our board members. "God has big plans for 2025. Buckle up and hold on!" -Allen Scroggs Our year end letter can be read here: https://lnkd.in/eDRtwjVR #firstresponders #realhope #missionfirstalliance
