It's interesting to think about policy cutoffs (DC exemptions, CMHC minimums, etc.) and how they affect incentives. Naama does a great job here of illustrating the jump in lot size required to go from 10 units to 11+. I think site plans are a reasonable way for the city to regulate sites and how they interact with the rest of the city, and 10 units is a reasonable cut-off... But are there any ways to make this transition gentler?

With roads besieged by potholes due to harsh winter conditions, an ingenious solution emerged. 📌 The Challenge: Extreme winter weather led to a proliferation of dangerous potholes on New Jersey's roads. 🛠️ The Solution: Rutgers University faculty member Wansoo Im created mappler.net/njpothole, an online map for reporting and tracking these hazardous potholes, over 70% of which were deemed "dangerous." 📱 The Impact: This tool not only safeguarded drivers but also aided local governments and repair crews. It's a testament to the power of community, technology, and proactive strategy in public safety. Last week we released a 2023 reflection on bicyclist and pedestrian safety in Maine. Considering the uptick in pedestrian deaths from crashes particularly in the final months of the year, there was a lot to be discouraged about. We encourage everyone to read our report (link below) so you can see our findings as well as our proposed solutions. There is no one cause to these crashes, there is no one solution.
