$150 potential stipend for teachers! Tell TNTP (and Bailey Czupryk - my wife) how you are asked to spend your time. Is your day structured so you spend time on the most important things to teach your kids! Their research aims to get information directly from teachers to roll up and share nationally for school and district leaders to rethink how they structure the day. Take the quiz below! If you’re a teacher, please repost.
Update: Our form has closed - thanks to all who filled it out! Looking for teachers who are game to share how they're being asked to spend their time! TNTP is beginning a new research project where we want to understand how teachers are being asked to spend their time. We will be looking at what existing research has said about how much time teachers spend on different aspects of their work, how teachers feel about their time use, how it's recently changed due to technology, and how it differs by school contexts. Before reviewing existing research, we want to talk with current K-12 teachers to hear their thoughts about the types of activities on which they are currently spending time. We are assembling a panel of 20 teachers to hear their opinions. Participating in this panel includes: Joining a 30-60 minute virtual focus group with other panel participants in October or November. Reviewing a presentation summarizing what TNTP learned after reviewing existing research on teacher time use. Joining a 30-60 minute virtual focus group to provide feedback on TNTP's presentation. Teachers who are selected to join the panel and complete the above three tasks will receive a $150 stipend. To indicate interest in participating, teachers can provide their information at this form: https://lnkd.in/dZJ-Savj We will then randomly select 20 teachers from all those who indicate they are interested.

The new era of exams is here! As NESA moves two more written HSC examinations online next year, the CSSA has transformed online assessment in support of schools. In 2025 there will be three online CSSA Trial HSC Examinations, powered by Gradeo, and available to all schools in NSW - across all three education sectors. An insightful report and well worth a read. Catholic Schools NSW
Proud to have our latest report featured in The Nightly! Gradeo worked with Catholic Schools NSW to survey students and teachers across the state on their appetite and readiness for online assessment. As more HSC exams shift online, the findings identify strong demand for online learning, a changing workload for teachers, and a surprising favourite among study tools. New Education Department regulations pertaining to Distance Education, Title IV, Trio, and other areas dropped yesterday. I know how I'm spending my weekend.... "The proposed distance education regulations would help the Department better measure and account for student outcomes, improve oversight over distance education, and ensure students are receiving effective education by expanding the definition of an additional location to include virtual locations for programs offered entirely online or through correspondence, adding a definition of 'distance education course,' requiring institutions to report their students’ distance education status, and disallowing asynchronous distance education in clock-hour programs for title IV, HEA purposes."
