99% of companies don’t provide proper resources for their employees. One of my clients turned to her company’s Employee Assistance Program for help. Here’s just a snippet of what she experienced: Long wait times – It took weeks just to get an initial appointment, leaving her feeling unsupported when she needed help the most. Generic solutions – The advice she received was broad and impersonal, offering no real strategy tailored to her specific struggles. Lack of follow-up – After the session, there was little to no check-in, making her feel like just another case number. Limited Sessions – She was only offered a few counseling sessions, which was nowhere near enough to address the deeper issues she was facing. This experience is all too common. And it is time for change. Companies that invest in meaningful, accessible support systems show their teams they truly care — and the benefits reflect in morale, productivity, retention and of course overall well-being.
