Sure every compositor has used the roto node…but have you ever taken a deeper look into all of the setting and tabs available inside of the roto node? If not, take a deeper look at the roto node with me to learn some cool tips about a node you probably use in 90% of your scripts.

DagNabbit for Nuke. A tool that takes a snapshot or snapshots of the Nuke DAG (Node Graph) and saves them to PNGs. The intended use is on a render farm, as a task in a frame sequence job— so that TDs, leads and DFX/CG/Comp supervisors may later get eyeballs on a script without having to open Nuke itself. Download from GitHub. Happy comping! https://lnkd.in/gzdBk8GQ

https://lnkd.in/dyX32EVn Today I'm sharing my nukescript and CAT file for you to experiment with my nuke particles fire CopyCat setup. Since my previous post, I've run the comfyui fire output through Nuke's copycat node to train a model to create the look in Nuke, which means you can adjust your fire setup in Nuke and see the output straight away making it an easier workflow. You can download the nukescript and Cat file here:https://lnkd.in/dyX32EVn Thanks to Ray Sun for allowing me to share his particle setup from his tutorial.

These are so minute but so effective tweaks. I do use some of them but the arrow thing is a totally new and great tip #nuke #compositor

Everybody uses Nuke a little bit differently. These are the preferences I always change when I start using a fresh install of Nuke. -I like brightly colored pipes that tell me which way things are going. It’s second nature to me now. -The re-routing dots are way too small. Gotta make them bigger. -Bounding Box warning is always on, since managing your bbox is an easy way to make Nuke more efficient. -3D Navigation is set to Maya -Properties Bin only has one item in it. And yes, I KNOW they can be collapsed but I don’t care. If I need a second properties control I just CTRL+click and pop it out. -I forgot to put it in the video, but I also change it so making a Merge node defaults the connection to the B input. But everyone works differently. I’m sure some people will think I’m doing it all wrong. I’m genuinely curious to know if others have things they always change when they start Nuke up.

I'm excited to share a recent addition to my Houdini toolkit: a custom Python Panel I've developed and called the "Embed Window" This tool allows me to embed any external window directly into Houdini's interface, significantly streamlining my workflow. No more constant alt-tabbing - now I have seamless multitasking right within Houdini! Key Features I've Implemented: -Embedding any active window into Houdini -Freely resizing embedded windows within the Houdini interface -One-click undocking -Automatic window restoration on panel close -Full integration with Houdini's docking system Check out the video to see it in action! https://lnkd.in/eEJekXMZ #Houdini #SideFX #Optimization #TechnicalArtist #TechArt #CustomTools
