It doesn’t sound overly complex to help your associates get time away from and back to work when hardship happens but it’s very nuanced, further compounded when you’re a large employer. This event will be helpful for those who want validation they’re on the right track or learn how to get better outcomes for your employees on the topic of absenteeism/leave administration.

Just an observation as we are 4 days into DD Awareness month I feel like it’s starting to become more about disability service providers and what they are doing and their work rather than what the individuals they support are doing in their communities. DD Awareness month was not created for disability service providers to use as a means to pump up their visibility as an organization it was created to highlight what actual people with I/DD are doing in their communities. I don’t want to hear any whining if this post has you feeling guilty maybe think about making some changes within your organizations as to how you approach I/DD awareness month. #DDAM2024
