Sometimes, someone on your team goes above and beyond to support our clients. Here's a story of how Agne Gaidyte stepped outside of her role to close a deal. Agne is our Head of Partnerships. She's a ray of sunshine always. Recently, we had a new lead come in that needed help with DSP. Our biz dev team was tied up and we needed someone to step in and support them through the sales process. Agne didn't just step in; she stepped up. In a big way. Nobody asked her to do it, either. She just saw a need and filled it. She took the prospect through the entire process - eventually signing them up as a new client. I'm blown away by her team spirit, initiative, and ability to wear new hats so seamlessly. While I think she lives out all of our core values at various times, this story highlights two in particular: 1) Own everything. We want everyone at Channel Key to have an ownership mindset. It's everybody's company, and we step in like owners. Agne did that. 2) Positivity is a choice. Agne stepped into a situation where she didn't know all the processes. She made some mistakes along the way, of course, but she did so with a smile, and the client reacted to her passion by signing a deal. Agne could have been overwhelmed. She could've been frustrated that she was doing something outside her scope. But she wasn't. And she closed a deal because of it. So proud of her! 😳 Business development has a bad rep... I had a boss who told me I’d be better off in sales…even though he literally hired me. To be fair, business development doesn’t generally have a framework so it looks loosey-goosey. But when I co-founded Sleuth, it was my BD skills that scored major, lever pushing wins: ⭐ investment (sometimes from well-positioned, cold outreach) ⭐ press, which put us top of mind with investors (we secured an amazing angel investors a Linkedin post) ⭐ partnerships: we punched well over our early stage weight and got some flagship health organizations in our pipeline ⭐ thought leadership: we got solid in-bound by talking about the invisible journeys of families of kids with chronic conditions ⭐ distribution: all of the above lent itself to trust and influencers OFFERED us to talk about Sleuth for free or substantive discounts ⭐ product messaging: business development is like having an antenna to the outside world; what I heard from parents directly fed into our positioning 💫 What’ve been your business development wins?

Taking a few days to step back and look at who we are and where we are going. We are headed into our second day of our Sales and Marketing Team workshop. We wrapped up January with our global sales & marketing kick-off in Atlanta. It would be difficult to find a more talented and committed bunch of folks anywhere! We spent time discussing ways to extend our go-to-market reach - living up to our long term goal of Gurobi Everywhere. A big part of our job is proselytizing Decision Intelligence to the world -- showing analytics professionals the value of an optimal decision. My focus was to encourage people to be comfortable being uncomfortable. All of us need to stretch out of our comfort zone and take some chances. Failure is a good thing if you learn from it...quickly. Here is to an exciting year ahead being uncomfortable! #growthmindset
