Amazing that they thought no-one would notice them conflating their AWS operation with the consumer Amazon last-mile deliveries! For a few years now, I've been following the development of the Ampere Altra (and now Ampere One) series of server-grade ARM cpus. We expect our next major hardware investment to be in this technology, which Oracle Cloud has already been using, and for which there is a now a wider choice of motherboard options.

Useful article. And interesting on lots of levels, not the least of which is the movement among Amazon employees to hold the company to account. I've just shared it with a chief sustainability officer I'll be meeting with soon. Major props to Mark Butcher for the surgical analysis.
