This year we headed out west to visit COMTO Houston for COMTO Headquarters 53rd National Meeting and Training Conference. The passion, resiliency and dedication displayed during the conference was a true testament to weathering the storm (no pun intended).  #COMTONY's very own President Richard J was elected to COMTO Headquarters National Board of Directors as Council of Presidents Representative, Yvette Janniere, MBA was honored with an Excellence of Service of Award during the Annual Business Meeting, Ivoire L. presented during the Emerging Leaders Forum on "Beyond the Rails: Exploring Non-Traditional Pathways in Transportation Careers," and Gregory Bradley, J.D. led a workshop titled “Success without Succession Leads to Failure”. We heard remarks from Metropolitan Transportation Authority's New York City Transit's interim President Demetrius Crichlow and his success within the agency that moves millions of riders throughout the five boroughs daily and Anita Miller, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chief Labor and Employee Relations Officer. We were blessed to see the "Mother of COMTO” Mrs. Helen Dale. U.S. Department of Transportation's Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg left a lasting impression with his heartfelt video of support and we were also reunited with Acting Administrator Veronica Vanterpool, a long-time #COMTONY supporter and advocate of transportation policies. thank you Madame President/CEO April Rai and Madame Chair Tanya A. and the HQ Staff for another job well done.
