***MIKE TYSON GETS DESTROYED BY A LEADING CANNABIS PR FIRM*** I like Mike Tyson, I think he has well intentions. I think these gummies are hilarious 🤣 and I love how Tyson can make light of his worst moments. I think black folks have a great sense of humor and Richard Pryor is my favorite comedian. White folks tend to be nit picky, I believe the term "KAREN" came out of that? Recently I was given a box of Tyson blunt wraps and they were awful. I'm not being nit picky, I actually used the product and it was horrible. I smoked about 10 blunt wraps and I got violently ill. His representatives are putting his brands out everywhere and partnering with a wide variety of them. I hope his gummies are better than the wraps 😁 I'm not in the business of policing what blacks and latinos do as a white guy, but I think it's kind of tacky to nit-pick others in the field over little things. Especially to tear one PoC down, to lift another up? I just think that sucks. Pretty interesting PR move to use a notable global celebrity as an example of bad, to lift up the virtues of his client. That said, I wouldn't want to piss off Iron Mike - even at 58! But I'm just a little guy and a big old nobody. Stu is an expert in PR, so I'm sure he knows what he's doing - unlike me. We're all entitled to our opinions. And Stu has built up a nice hive minded audience who will lapdog and agree with whatever he says. If nothing else, you gotta respect that! Speaking of respect, this quote by Iron Mike is one of the greatest I ever heard. "‘GOD DID THIS’: Mike Tyson on handling criticism: “Sometimes I get in my head and think I’m somebody and then I’m easily offended. But when I know I’m nobody I could never be offended.” Just think of it, here you have one man, Mike Tyson, the youngest world's champion of all time. A former street kid, who has had to rebuild himself into a successful person, making an honest living, being torn apart by a white face. You got to love the audacity! It's palatable! But the best part is the shameless client plug after the takedown! Gotta love it! He put the "strategic" in Bridge Strategic babay! https://lnkd.in/eQgsRdux #cannabis #cannabiscommunity #marijuana #marijuanaindustry #marijuanacommunity
Anyone who knows me is aware I am pretty direct and strong in my opinions, especially about how to change the perception about cannabis consumers and the industry as a whole, which has been my mission since I entered the space 12 years ago. As you’ll see in this story in the NY Post, I am true to form. Celebrating people who don’t represent what we want this industry to me has always been a bone of contention and that comes through with this quote in the story about the pedestal we put people like Mike Tyson on. There are so many better role models for Black and Latino’s to look up to like Vladimir Bautista to see the potential the legal cannabis presents to those most impacted by the failed war on drugs to create opportunities for them to succeed in an industry built on their shoulders. #cannabisculture #cannabiscommunity

Highlighting the Top 23 Athletes of 2023 Retired NFL Legend, thought leader and entrepreneur, Ricky Williams is leading the Sports Cannabis charge off the field. Williams played college football for the Texas Longhorns, receiving All-American honours twice as well as winning the Heisman Trophy in 1998 before taking his talents to the NFL. Ricky was drafted in 1999, in the first round, fifth overall to the New Orlean Saints before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2002 and led the league in rushing, earned First-Team All-Pro honours and as well as a Pro Bowl Selection. Williams ultimately discovered the healing properties of Cannabis after retiring, partnering in the plant to help manage pain, injuries and the stresses of being an elite professional athlete. Changing the game with Highsman , Ricky is using his platform to empower the plant as well as athletes and sports enthusiasts. “Right now cannabis is cool and people are interested in it, but they’re missing the part of the story of how it can help make us great and help us get the most out of life…” adding “I first started using cannabis simply because it felt good… I felt better when I smoked and that’s why I kept using it. I value feeling good. I noticed when I felt good, I slept better, I was happier to go to work the next morning and I tended to perform better. It’s an appreciation for feeling good. I would venture to say that’s true for most people. I think the issue is that in most situations there has to be a medical term associated with cannabis and that feeling good isn’t enough of a reason.” Learn About his Movement Today; WWW.SPORTSCANNABIS.LIFE #SportsCannabis #CannabisAthlete #RickyWilliams #NFL #Football #Highsman #HesimanWinner #Advocate #Education #Research #Recovery #Relief #MentalHealth #HealthandWellness #cannabisindustry #CannabisCommunity #ChangetheNarrative #BreaktheStigma

Throwback MJBiz Conference in November 2022! While attending MJBiz Las Vegas in November 2022 I was interviewed by Vern Davis on the Plant Prophets Podcast with Vern Davis. We had a very productive conversation about Cannabis and its investment opportunities. The global Cannabis market is full of tremendous opportunities. On the podcast I spoke a bit about the future of Cannabis in the US. The SAFE Banking Act was definitely a great chance to reignite momentum in Cannabis legislation. Unfortunately, news since the podcast has shown that the bill continues to get shutdown. There is still time for the US to adapt- though it will require patience. On the other hand, I also spoke about the European market. Of course, Germany has been the hot topic in European Cannabis. However, other countries like Italy are under the radar and have a lot of growth opportunities. Italy has very high demand and not many supply options, so they issued a tender for the medical THC license in an effort to satisfy demand. There were other topics similar to this discussed on the podcast. I highly recommend anyone interested in Cannabis to follow the podcast and listen to my conversation with Vern Davis. “I firmly believe in the transformative power of education to propel us forward and demonstrate to our communities that, despite our past challenges, genuine opportunities exist in the cannabis industry. Educate. Advocate. Elevate. This sentiment resonates deeply with us at The Network Green and UCannTalk. We wholeheartedly support this movement. It’s crucial to empower those who have been disproportionately impacted, showing them not only survival but thriving is possible. Let’s break the generational curses of poverty within an industry that intricately weaves our culture. The cannabis industry presents unprecedented opportunities, and it’s time to seize them. Our collective resilience will shape this industry into its full potential. Unity, support, and a shared journey will pave the way for success. Together, we can redefine and elevate the cannabis landscape.” #EducationEmpowers #CannabisOpportunities #CommunityResilience #BreakGenerationalCurses #IndustryUnity #TheNetworkGreen #UCannTalk #EmpowerThroughEducation #CannabisCulture #ThrivingTogether #OpportunityInChallenges #ElevateTheIndustry #BreakingBarriers #UnityInSuccess #TransformativeEducation #IndustryEmpowerment #CannabisChangeMakers #SupportingOurCommunities #SeizingOpportunities #EradicatePoverty #CannabisInclusivity
Highlighting the Top 23 Athletes of 2023 The cannabis industry much like the game of basketball is constantly evolving and growing at a rapid pace. Retired NBA legend, entrepreneur and Founder of Viola Brands Al Harrington is leading the Sports Cannabis movement across North America, changing the game for athlete entrepreneurs. Harrington was selected 25th overall in the ’98 NBA draft, playing 16 seasons for the Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards. Today, former NBA athlete, Al Harrington is making an impact off the court and has created VIOLA Brands , a cannabis company named after his grandmother and inspired by the profound impact the plant had on her life. “Her story is what put the air behind my wings, it got us to where we are today and that’s why we named the company after her. Viola’s her name, it’s our inspiration and we want to continue to honor her.” adding “What I always tell people who are looking at our products is if it’s not good enough to give to my grandmother, I’m not going to put it on a shelf. Those standards are why we are considered a premium, high-quality cannabis company.” Since its inception, Viola Brands has dominated the cannabis industry and has earned MVP honors from cannabis enthusiasts and connoisseurs across North America. Harrington and Viola Brands are focused on empowering Black and Brown-owned companies as well as legacy operators by putting a premium on social equity initiatives, education and providing greater employment opportunities. 2 local dispensary owners choose profit over principles Sonoma, California - You can accept things as they are, or you can *say* something... SVCG member Josette Brose-Eichar and I spoke during the Public Comment period at a recent Sonoma City Council meeting. The key items put before the city council: · Cannabis, Honesty and Equality – SPARC's Erich Pearson, who owns the only dispensary in town, has thrown honesty aside in order to protect his own interests. He recently defamed our group in a city council meeting. · According to The Press Democrat, another dispensary owner, John Loe, who recently opened a store outside the city limits, has stood before the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and vented hateful rhetoric. · We need businesses that promote honesty and equality and we should *not* support businesses that don’t. · We have sent a letter to Pearson’s capital investors, Emily Paxhia and Poseidon, asking for a retraction of the libelous remarks he made about our group to the city council. · We also authored a Position Paper regarding local control and the lack of retail outlets that has been signed by many cannabis organizations and companies: https://lnkd.in/g-C_BFm6 Bottom line, we’ve got a ranting hater over here, an ethically-challenged operator over there, and stuck right in the middle is an electorate that overwhelmingly supported Prop64, imploring for better access. #cannabis #cannabisbusiness #cannabisindustry #cannabiscommunity #cannabisretail #cannabismarketing #dispensary #sonoma #cannabisnews

8moThat's 34 shops within Con Bud vicinity. LES got easily 200 unlicensed shops. Not sure why this number is so off? Doesn't take much to see its way more than 34. Walk down Clinton St from the bridge to Houston. 20 easy on that cut alone.
