Structured Professional Judgment and Racial Disparities in Risk Assessment | September 24, 2024 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Pacific | 2 Hours | 2 CEs $50 Off with early registration through Sept 17th! -- Neil Hogan, PhD, presents a live virtual professional training program on Structured Professional Judgment and Racial Disparities in Risk Assessment. This training will provide participants with an overview of the first empirical research studies evaluating racial disparities in structured professional judgment (SPJ) risk ratings. The training will also identify specific conceptual and theoretical vulnerabilities to racial biases within the SPJ approach to risk assessment, as well as the defenses of the system. By the end of the training, participants will have an increased understanding of what is known and unknown regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the SPJ model as applied to diverse ethnocultural groups. In turn, participants will be able to make more informed decisions about their own professional work and to make informed defenses of SPJ risk ratings in adversarial settings (e.g., if testifying in courts of law). -- Register here: https://hubs.li/Q02LYtdt0

Managing risk, compliance and anti-financial crime is a marathon race not a sprint! 🏅 The laws, rules and regulations crucially provide the finish line that we must understand and aim to reach. But, the greatest challenges for risk, compliance and anti-financial crime professionals is generally not in determining where the finish line is but rather in preparing for and running the race. 🏁 ComplianceLnD in partnership with the Compliance Institute have launched a series of professional education workshops focused entirely on how to run the race. Each workshop includes detailed practical coaching and engaging case studies, examples and demonstrations focused on understanding and successfully navigating the everyday practices, challenges, stakeholders and organisations. Each of the below in-person workshops will be taking place in Dublin between 13-16 August 2024 and can be attended as standalone courses or collectively as the Certificate in GRC Stakeholder Management & Practice. ✅ Navigating Risk & Control Responsibilities and Accountabilities ✅ Strategies & Techniques for GRC Presentations ✅ Managing Senior Management & Internal Stakeholders ✅ Managing Regulatory Interaction & Engagement For each workshop completed, up to 3-4 hours of CPD is available depending on your designation e.g., LCI, FCI (Compliance), CFRCP, CFCP, CFSCP, FCI Ethics, and CECA. If you are interested in attending and availing of introductory discounts or would like further information in relation to any workshop, please visit the events page at https://lnkd.in/eF2NbRpa For further information on these workshops and further online and international roll-out follow us at ComplianceLnD.
