As part of our rebranding process we have chosen a new company tagline: "Guiding aviation". Why did we choose this message? At High Lander, we believe that aviation is evolving. Drones are more than just useful tools for getting an endless variety of jobs done - these high-performance, precision aircraft are finally bringing the benefits of powered flight to regular people on an everyday basis. And with advanced air mobility services starting to appear in cities around the world, this will soon include personal flights too. This means that the dream that began with the Wright brothers more than one hundred years ago is coming true - but we need the infrastructure to enable this new generation of aircraft and maintain safety in the sky. That’s what High Lander’s solutions provide. Society has only scratched the surface of what drones can do. But whatever the future might bring, we can say one thing for sure: High Lander’s solutions will be there, guiding aviation. #highlander #aviation #drones #guidingaviation #tagline #rebrand #orion #vega

🚨 Just in from the 2024 FAA Drone & AAM Symposium: The Federal Aviation Administration has approved Wing and Zipline to conduct commercial delivery #drone flights simultaneously over the suburbs of Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas without visual observers. The big picture: The approval of the use of a UTM system is a significant step in the path toward widespread BVLOS operations and demonstrates the safety and efficiency benefits of connected skies. How it works: The companies will use UTM technology to share data and flight routes, allowing the drones to safely operate in the same airspace without the need for visual observers, unlocking the possibility for efficient commercial deliveries with one drone operator overseeing many flights. What’s next: The FAA expects initial flights using the UTM system to begin in August and that it will issue approvals to additional companies in the near future. Tim Arel, Shannetta Griffin , P.E.
