We've shared a #campusmap in the comments below that should help direct you, including permitted parking. - We recommend having some #cash 💵 on hand, as many of our #vendors may not take credit cards or peer-to-peer (P2P) #payments, and we don't want you to miss out! - This event is #rainorshine (with some covered areas). Did you miss NETBURKING BINGO? Yes you read that correctly. Last Friday at both Horsham and Hove Chai and Chatter, we introduced a game of Netburking Bingo in celebration of IWD. *Netburking* according to the Co-Women official dictionary is defined as: networking events that are primarily attended by misogynistic men, often found making crass remarks and speaking at an unnecessary volume. But don't worry if you missed it, you can join us this Friday for another special bingo edition at Chai and Chatter Brighton. You'll groan as you hear true accounts of what women have had said to them at networking events, be glad you're at an event where you won't have to suffer that nonsense, and to boot you might walk away with a prize! What's all about? Chai and Chatter is super informal and a chance to have joyful and involved conversations about life, work and everything in between. No pitching, just friendly faces, a good old mingle with other business leaders and a nice relaxed venue to kick back in, starting off your weekend in the best way. Juneteenth is right around the corner and it celebrates the freedom of the last group of enslaved people in the United States. Looking for ways to honor this holiday with your children? Here are 5 ways to celebrate Juneteenth together as a family. 1) Read about Juneteenth: Together, you can learn about Juneteenth and why it’s important to celebrate. Checkout Juneteenth for Mazie. You can have a discussion about the book with your child. 2) Have an outdoor cookout: Just like any holiday, Juneteenth is all about enjoying good food! 3) Create kid-friendly crafts: Have a craft party! You can make a craft stick Juneteenth Pan-African flag. Have your child paint craft sticks red, black and green then glue them to a jumbo craft stick to create the flag. 4) Attend a local celebration: Attending a local Juneteenth event is a great opportunity to meet other families and build relationships with people from different backgrounds. 5) Support a Black-owned business: Shopping small is a great way to support your community. Create a list with your child featuring three Black-owned businesses to visit for Juneteenth.
