As per our recent report on 'The State of GCCs in India - 2024', median salaries in GCCs leap from ₹3.2 LPA to ₹42.5 LPA as experience grows, highlighting the strong link between experience and higher pay. Here are some key observations: >> Significant Mid-Career Leap: The shift from 3-5 years of experience to 6-10 years shows a more than 100% increase in median salary, from ₹11.5 LPA to ₹24 LPA. This suggests that mid-career professionals, particularly those moving into more specialized or managerial roles, are highly valued in GCCs. >> Strategic Experience Milestones: The most notable salary jumps occur at strategic milestones—between 3-5 years and 6-10 years—indicating that these periods are critical for career advancement and salary growth in GCCs. Recent reports suggest that Pvt Sector Companies, both in EMPI & FMCG domains, are multiplying their profits over last decade or so, whereas the salaries at the lower levels are not increasing even to leverage the impact of inflation.
