Being a pet owner, it's important to think add your furry family members when you create a Will. If you don't, and something unexpected occurs, your cherished furry friend might end up in an animal shelter if their is no one to care for them. Fortunately, you can easily prevent this by having a plan that includes guardians for your pet, and you can include money to cover their care. #ConfidenceWills #PetsInWills #PetsAreFamily

Puppy/kitten farms are where pet shops and 3rd party sellers often get their "products". If you buy a puppy/kitten and don't see the mother and how they are kept, you are likely unwittingly contributing to the cruelty. SO-CALLED "GOOD" BREEDERS ARE A PART OF THE PROBLEM. Healthy dogs/cats who've been abandoned and/or abused and babies from dogs/cats that weren't neutered/spayed by irresponsible guardians, desperate for a home, are KILLED, as shelters are full of unwanted "surplus" animals. Animals are treated like products, commodities that are bred and sold. People go to breeders and pet shops to buy a certain breed they want. If you love animals, help a poor little fur baby who needs a second chance at a happy life and a forever home. Of course you'll love any animal you'll give a home to, it's not their choice to come from a breeder. But we can choose to stop adding to the demand and be a part of the solution instead. When you give a home to a shelter or rescue dog, it will feel a thousand times better to save this fur baby, than going to a breeder. Knowing your new fur baby has been given a second chance and you've given them the happy life they deserve, will make you happier than buying any particular breed. #adoptdontshop It's like a SILENT ATROCITY, that nobody wants to think about.😞 Until it's government policy and legislation to ADOPT NOT SHOP and spay and neuter, the animal overpopulation problem and animal cruelty will continue. Too many people still consider this a "CONSUMER CHOICE" issue (where instead of a life, an animal is a PRODUCT, a commodity to be BOUGHT), rather than an ANIMAL CRUELTY issue, where we continue BREEDING domestic animals, knowing healthy, animals are PUT DOWN everyday like they are "waste product" because they are passed over for a shiny "new" animal of a designer breed. 😢😔 There is no justification for this. We cannot BUY, whilst healthy animals DIE! #EndTheDemandEndTheCruelty 🙏 #adoptdontshop ❤ #rescueanimals ❤ #fosteranimals ❤ #spayandneuter 👍 #banpuppymills 🤬 #bankittenmills 🤬 #banbreeders 🤬 #banpetshops 🤬 https://lnkd.in/exT6eHWN For anyone who thinks we don't kill shelter animals in the UK, YES WE DO, this happens everywhere: https://lnkd.in/e49e4ycN https://lnkd.in/e9A-kHCt There is no justification, ZERO, for breeding more domesticated companion animals, whilst healthy animals are killed in shelters. We cannot BUY, whilst healthy animals DIE! End the DEMAND, end the CRUELTY. The only solution is to stem the flow and stop breeding more.
THIS IS WHERE BREEDER DOODLES COME FROM… Only human greed and instability is capable of doing this to an innocent animal. Stop supporting breeders! Shelter dogs are dying due to lack of homes. They are the most loving pets. All breeds are available through a rescue or shelter in your area INCLUDING PUPPIES! Educate everyone you can friends, family, neighbours…everyone that will listen. Too many people have a misconception about shelter pets! They don’t have any issues, the ignorant “owners” who dump and abandon them are the ones with the problem.

Not only is September #NationalPreparednessMonth, there have already been several major disasters happening coast to coast. We recently commissioned a new study that showed while 82% of pet owners said it's important to have a disaster preparedness plan for their pet, only a third actually have one. To help pet parents be prepared, we are teaming up with some of our Hill's Food, Shelter & Love partners in areas prone to natural disasters including Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc., Houston SPCA, Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, Kentucky Humane Society, Marin Humane, Maui Humane Society, Louisiana SPCA, NOCO Humane and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League with the goal of keeping pets safe and reducing the strain on shelters. Pet ownership is on the rise in the United States of America, with more than 50% of the households having at least one pet according to Helen Woodward Animal Center. https://lnkd.in/gxA-dpmM Despite that, more than 6,000,000 cats and dogs enter animal shelters in the United States each year. While many pets get to celebrate finding their forever home through the efforts of rescues organizations, for regular cats and pedigreed cats. The worst statistic is this: there are over 900,000 cats and dogs each year that do not find homes and spend the final moments of their lives in the shelter. #remembermethursday #shinealight

Here in the US we have a crisis hidden by a broken system within animal services and the public served. This is not the shelter staffs fault. As a nation we want it when we want it. It's time to rethink animal shelter processes . If you think about it buying and selling of pets is the only market we have not gotten under control. take a look at craigslist ,under pets. thousands of rehoming ads.aka for sale. We need to build a system that gives them what they want , the ability to shop for pets without the guilt of a shelter experience. I have created a plan that will reinvent our handling of lost and homeless pets.Decrease the killing , take the burden off the city and county while taking the financial costs off the rescues for vetting. including an adoption center that allows same day adoption of decompressed and fully vetted animals . Sounds impossible but it's not I have obsessed over this for 20 years and made a plan of action. I need help to get it off the ground . the simplicity of it will blow your mind.

If there is any way for a horse to find trouble, they will do it. They can also find ways to escape and disappear. If this happens, what steps can you take to find them quickly? And if you don't, what do you do next? Horses can be notorious for finding trouble and disappearing. If your horse goes missing, it's essential to act fast to locate them. You can start by searching the surrounding area and asking neighboring horse owners for any sightings. You can also post flyers with detailed descriptions and pictures of your horse. If you're still unable to find your horse, don't hesitate to report them missing to your local animal control, police department, or sheriff's office. They can help spread the word and increase the chances of finding your horse. Additionally, file a report with Stolen Horse International, NetPosse, the only nonprofit organization in the USA with 27 years of experience, to provide more exposure. We are not just a Facebook page. Remember that time is of the essence in these situations, so don't delay in taking action. You can increase the likelihood of locating your missing horse with a quick response and the right resources.
