My wife and I owned, leased out, managed, renovated and flipped 8-12 Investment Properties from 2006-2020, some involving HOAs. We managed this simultaneously with us both having high pressure careers. HOAs and Business Leadership differ significantly and are also very similar in some ways. HOA meetings involve homeowner perspectives, while Business Leadership thrives on hierarchy and decisive decision-making. CEOs shoulder the weight of success or failure, reflecting in their substantial compensation, requiring unique skills and experience. Navigating HOA dynamics is challenging, but leading a large corporation demands a rare blend of capacity, knowledge, and experience. Young professionals must grasp business intricacies for success.
