In 1980, a 606-foot freighter crashed into the southbound span of the Sunshine Skyway causing a 1,200-foot section of the roadway to collapse. Our team at American Bridge Company was a part of the team that replaced the bridge with the iconic structure standing today. AB was part of a joint venture that constructed the new 8,858-foot precast segmental bridge. The bridge is made up of three major parts: 4,859-feet of twin segmental roadways, 1,720-feet of single high-level post-tensioned segmental roadway, and a 2,280-foott by 85-foot wide precast segmental cable-stayed structure with a 1,200-foot main span, erected by the balanced cantilever method. The construction of this bridge brought along innovation for protecting bridges in major ports. Read the article below for more information on the bridge and innovations that came with the project. https://lnkd.in/efD6NMap

Do you know what a Low Location Lighting (LLL) system is? ⚠️ Is a unique system that allows all evacuation routes to remain illuminated, providing a clear, continuous, and unambiguous "means of escape” to a safe place. Strategically installed at low location level along evacuation routes, its crucial mission is to allow crews and passengers to identify evacuation paths effectively, especially in scenarios where ambient and emergency lighting may fail or be obstructed by smoke. Do you want to know more about this signage system? Check out our article about it! 👇 https://lnkd.in/dYZVvFwn . . . . #everluxmaritime #maritimesafety #Lowlocationlighting #IMOsigns #SafetyFirst #EmergencyPreparedness

PLANNING &GOOD DESIGN AND USING FULL POWER IN EXCECUTION ARE THE REASONS OF SUCCEES
"Precision Lifting: Navigating Tough Terrain with Cable Cranes and Helicopters" Cable crane systems and helicopter-aided lifting are two methods used to transport heavy materials, especially in difficult-to-reach areas. Cable crane systems, often used in construction or logging, consist of a network of cables and towers that carry a suspended load across uneven terrain or over obstacles. These systems are efficient for moving materials over long distances with precision. Helicopter-aided lifting, known as "sling load" operations, involves using a helicopter to lift and transport heavy loads via a long cable. This method is particularly useful in remote or rugged areas where traditional ground transport is impractical. It allows for rapid, flexible movement of materials, often used in construction, disaster relief, or remote infrastructure projects. video rights : respective owners DM for removal/ credits #cablecranes #dams #engineering #civilengineering #civilconstruction #engenhariacivil #engenharia #construction
