Earlier this year, I was a spekaer at the incredible Othering & Belonging Conference in Berlin. #OBCONF23 The dichotomy of othering and belonging lies at the heart of much of the division, separation, and conflict we see throughout the world. Addressing this duality is essential because it raises questions about who matters and who doesn’t, who is worthy and who is not. These questions are then reflected in our policies and social structures, regulating our access to basic resources and rights. The O & B conference provided a platform to think deeply about how we can transform our social and political structures to ensure our humanity is realised. A key component in this is overcoming systems of oppression and creating a reality of belonging that embraces all that we are. It’s a tall task, but we surely need more of this! Dear TRIZ Enthusiasts, TRIZFEST2024 The 19th International Conference "TRIZfest-2024" will be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from September 4th to 6th, 2024, with a pre-conference day of tutorials and workshops on September 3rd and post-conference attractions on September 7th. The event is organized by the International TRIZ Association (MATRIZ), the Malaysia TRIZ Innovation Association (MyTRIZ) and the Sarawak TRIZ Association (SarawakTRIZ). The theme of TRIZfest-2024 is "Innovate with TRIZ and AI for sustainable global growth." We at this moment invite everyone who is involved in TRIZ research and development, who uses TRIZ, as well as those who are interested in TRIZ and want to meet TRIZ professionals and learn more about TRIZ, TOPICS & PAPERS SUBMISSION The topics for this year's conference are as follows: 1. TRIZ for sustainable and ecological development. 2. TRIZ in mobility includes electric, hybrid, and hydrogen vehicles. 3. TRIZ in pedagogy. 4. TRIZ and AI are working together for growth. 5. TRIZ in industrial inventions of the 21st century.
