Tips for Healthy Screen Time Boundaries Tips for Managing Screen Time and Keeping Kids Safe 🕒📵 Recent studies show a significant increase in children's screen time, with nearly 25% showing signs of behavioural addiction. It's not just about development—excessive screen time can expose children to concepts far beyond their years, impacting their safety. Here are three tips to help ease screen time and create healthy boundaries: Set Clear Limits: Establish daily screen time limits and stick to them. Encourage Alternative Activities: Promote outdoor play, reading, and creative hobbies to balance screen time. Create Tech-Free Zones: Designate specific areas of the house, like the dining room and bedrooms, as tech-free zones. Understanding the impact of screen time is essential for your child's health and safety. For more insights, check out Sally Goddard Blythe's blog post: Children's Screen time. How will caregivers or trusted adults know when a child is going through more than just a mood? Teens and tweens can push parents and loved ones away, but the bond is deep. Activities like sharing music together and talking about it can help strengthen the psychological safety needed for a child to open up and get help with a problem. #BeThereNow Learn more, get resources now, and share this with your network: https://loom.ly/RsHW4Ac

On parent to child relationship. As parents, it's natural to want to give our children everything they want just because we are financially stable enough to afford them. However, it's important to consider the long-term effects of doing so. According to experts at Belwet Mind Clinic, giving your child everything they want can actually predispose them to developing a behavioral disorder. So, what can we do instead? Intentional parenting is key. By setting boundaries and teaching our children the value of hard work, patience, gratitude and diligence we can help them develop into well-adjusted adults. Let's prioritize intentional parenting and set our children up for success. 🛑Stop focusing on the behaviour and instead look for the root cause! In social care, it's common to focus on the symptom and not the cause. We often hear about 'problematic behaviour', "challenging" children 🤮 ✖️ Don't get me started on behavior management plans that guess what?....don't seem to work. ❓Are we really helping children if we're only looking at surface-level stuff? It's important to look beyond what's right in front of our faces and search for the WHY. Reactions can be caused by anything: a smell, a sound, or a familiar behavior. And the root cause might not always be obvious. Understanding the WHY is crucial if we want to help children move forward. Otherwise, we're just reacting and not responding ourselves. 🙄 Let's prioritise trauma-informed care and become more trauma-responsive. hashtag #trauma #childrenincare #traumaresponsive

⬇️Read Caption Anxiety is like having a built-in alarm system in our brain that's supposed to help us stay safe. From a very young age, even before we're born, this system is working, warning us when something might be dangerous. It's a complex setup involving different parts of our brain and body, all working together to make us feel cautious or worried when there's a potential threat. Anxiety isn't just a problem to be solved; it's a signal of distress and unmet needs. By unraveling the roots of anxiety, parents can tailor strategies to nurture growth and resilience. Insight, not quick fixes, paves the way for meaningful progress. Parents and caregivers are the linchpin in their children's emotional well-being. By strengthening relationships, creating space for emotions, and guiding children through their fears, adults can empower kids to navigate anxiety and realize their full potential. 💖🌟 #AnxietyAwareness #ParentingJourney #EmotionalWellbeing #MindfulParenting #ParentChildConnection #EmotionalIntelligence #FamilyWellness #ChildBehavior #ParentSupport #ParentingSkills #PeacefulParenting #ParentEducation #FamilyWorkshop #RaisingKids #ParentingChallenges #HealthyFamilies #ParentingWebinar
